Didn't run at the combine either. Is it a red flag?

The guy looks the part, he's built like a light tank but has chosen to skip the 40 twice.

I watched him a good bit last season and was really impressed but athletic dominance doesn't always translate to the next level. His closest comp is probably Beast Mode and Marshawn ran sub 4.5.

Running the 40 could only hurt him. Hes not going any higher than 6 to the raiders regardless of what he runs

Even if he did something insane and ran a 4.32?

Well, that is a red flag. Dude is scared to compete.

I would completely disagree. It is much more likely that going in the top 10 will give him the biggest payday of his career. Odds are his second contract will be lower, probably a good bit lower, on a per year basis. Not hurting himself in the draft is his #1 priority right now. No way he would drop out of top 15, unless he were to run a horrible 40.

edit: unless Saquon's contract starts a trend, RBs are going to stay severely underpaid.

He literally has nothing to gain by running a 40 at this point. I don’t blame him.

I'm not a fan of taking running backs early so it would make me more wary but last I checked I'm not getting paid by the Raiders to make decisions.

I'll be very disappointed if the Raiders use their first round pick on him

Yeah, absolutely terrible. He should drop to the Broncos.

I'll tell you this though, if I were a team thinking about picking a RB too 10, this would tell me not to. If he thinks his time is so slow that it will hurt him, the unknown will hurt him just as bad.

No one wants to spend a premium pick for someone with a physical limit.

There has to be a good reason, not "I'm afraid to frick up my draft status".

What do you mean physical limit?
They've had access to him during workouts. They have hours of film.

The thing is, the difference between a great time, and a mediocre time is missing the timing of a step on your get off.

He was absolutely shut down in the CFP, so there is a question of this physical traits.

He played against "lesser" opponents and historically, RB's like that do not translate in the NFL.

Why give teams more questions by refusing to run?

Even worse. He should drop to the second round to the Saints.

Pedo state boxed him up. That probably hurt him pretty good

his draft position is sealed. More so than any other player in the draft. He's not climbing into the top 5, and the only way he'd fall out of the first round is by bombing his workouts. There's truly nothing to gain by running.

On 30 fricking carries. Yes, that is 3.5 yards per carry.

Serious question, when every play he’s ever had has been recorded… who cares about a 40 time?

Get video and do the math using the lines they provide for you on the field.

Real game speed in pads is more important to me than a beauty contest.

RB might be the one position where this is not only false, but might actually be the other way around.
