If his son, Guy Mistretta had half the personality of Bucky he'd be able to stick around longer at the schools that hire him.
Corey Mistretta won numerous track titles as a coach for Redemptorist and is now a college coach. I've often wondered how he would have done as a head FB coach.

Rumor is that Joe Ryan is the leading candidate for the job. He’s currently the special teams coordinator at Denham Springs and was at Ascension Catholic under Drey Trosclair and Doug Moreau. Id be surprised if they go with somebody that was in the Trosclair regime with all that happened and I thought they might want to look for an older veteran coach.

Never meet the guy, but heard he was a cool guy. Coached at AC one fall, got a job at DS for the spring. He Was already committed to be AC power lifting coach for that season. He went from DS to AC a couple times a week to coach the powerlifting team cuz he was committed to the team

I don’t have any family/friends from the area but it has been entertaining to lurk this thread as a neutral 3rd party.
It seems as if Drey Trosclair is a generally decent guy and great coach but sleeping with former students is no bueno. Dude 100% deserves to be canned if that’s the case.
Also big shout out to the guy that complained about people in Ascension Parish gossiping about him because a he fricked a married coworker, especially as a teacher with almost enetirely all women coworkers. I’m in my early 20s, work in more or less the same field, am dumb as shite and yet even I know better than to do that.

You right, the one common denominator of all their coaches over the last 20 years is still there and untill hes gone CL football will continue to be irrelevant.

He has to retire someday hopefully, but he has a cush job since he was made AD. He will just keep hiring offensive coaches and continue running the defense into the ground like he's playing Madden.
