Oh yes, LSU fans were on their knees begging O to hire him
To be fair, I'd argue most were so pissed with the HC hire that they were willing to go completely scorched earth.

I don't really see anything too bad there
The head football coach at Baylor documenting that he is actively covering up something as small as an underage drinking charge to keep it from being reported to judicial affairs, but claims to have no knowledge of multiple sexual assaults committed by other players. Right, nothing to see here!

I don't know what the tiger rant looked like, but on the CCB it was at least 50/50 in terms of lsu fans for briles.
It was really quite shocking.

bet every SEC coach's texts contain similar stuff.
You have 85 guys on a team. These guys were chosen for the team based on athletic ability, and succeeding in a violent sport.
Most of the guys on the team take advantage of the opportunities in front of them and are good guys ........... let's say 60 - 70.
That leaves 15-25 knuckleheads who are young and full of testosterone.
Yes, I bet most coaches get some interesting texts over the course of three years.
Exactly! Take the average 18-22 year old college guy and look at the stupid shite he does. Now, compound that with being 18-22 years old; more physically imposing than just about everyone around you; a "star" among your peers (especially females)...plus many of these guys are from rough neighborhoods, with rough upbringings. I would be willing to bet that stuff like this happens at EVERY major college football program.
The only reason this stuff is a big deal now is there are more ways for such things to become known to more people than just the inner circle.
If you don't think football players in the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, weren't fighting, fricking, drinking, snorting, and flat out doing debaucherous shite that got covered up by coaches and local authorities, then you are either incredibly naive or willfully disingenuous. Hell, I'd be willing to be that this kind of behavior is less prevalent today than it was 25, 30 years ago! Sorry if I can't sit on my pedestal and feign outrage
Find me a fanbase who would be happy to live with annual 3-9, 2-10, seasons, but has a coach who runs an absolutely squeaky clean program, and I'll show you a group of people who are completely full of shite. Urban Meyer had a of numerous POS members of his football teams, including one guy who is in jail for at least one murder! Even with that, do you think there is one Florida fan who wouldn't take him back in a second? God knows what kind of slimy stuff John Calipari has been involved both before and while at UK. Do you think their fans really give a shite?

he is a POS but I wonder how many coaches do the same exact thing

As noted, if this stuff was all there was & happened in a vacuum, it would not be a big deal. There is a lot more to this then these few messages. A lot more. Go back & review a few of the rape & gang bang incidents. And what Briles, staff members & others at the university did...or..did not do. Then talk to your daughter & tell her: "if any of this ever happens to you, relax, it's no big deal".

Not the smart ones. The smart ones go about their business like Paulie in Goodfellas.
