I'm truly embarrassed that so many of our idiot fans actually truly said this. It's pathetic.
Yep. And bitched us rational people out

Most of the guys on the team take advantage of the opportunities in front of them and are good guys ........... let's say 60 - 70.
That leaves 15-25 knuckleheads who are young and full of testosterone.
given the socioeconomic background and average intelligence of an 85 man roster, I think you're being very generous with those 60-70 who are the "good guys"

"Bottom line, he has to meet with (Vice President for Student Life Kevin) Jackson tomorrow morning. If Jackson does not reinstate President will," Shillinglaw wrote. [my emphasis]
Well, I guess you really can't call it 'lack of institutional control' when the institution's president is all-in on the shenanigans.
It'll be interesting to see the gyrations the NCAA goes through to avoid any appropriate punishment.

He was forcing himself on LSU... you know Baylor style.

I've said it time and time again for decades now, these little snake handling and speaking in tongues "Christian" schools in Texas harbor some of the slimiest people imaginable.
I would rather have my ashes scattered before Kyle Field than be associated with these schools.
Oh and UT hasn't done the same shite

Don't worry, the Baylor fans will still say it's a witch hunt and it's just ESPN propaganda.
He is and was a POS.

Let's not go overboard.
But yes, there were many who wanted that dirtbag and didn't even care about the character.

Hopefully Briles will give another interview so we can see him force more tears and talk about he didn't know anything that was going on with the players.

I am sure there are similar things that happen as far as texts go. You do have a team full of young people and there are those knuckleheads who are young, dumb, and full of cum. I guess because it's Baylor and Briles it seems worse. I wish the NCAA would do something drastic with Baylor. Their win-at-all-cost mentality needs to be knocked down a few pegs. Before long, that new stadium will be renamed McLane/RGIII/CAB Stadium

Honestly, I expected worse. I'd imagine most head coaches have similar texts. Part of the job. The rape coverup texts are what would be so damning he could never recover. These? Meh
no shite. some of these are just bullshite anyway. oh no a freshman got caught drinking or smoking dope, i cant believe that! a kid asked for a happy ending?! what is wrong with the world these days!!
faux outrage, the drug dealing and brandishing gun are the only ones worth af

In a vacuum sure but the greater context of what happened at Baylor it certainly matters.

That's really your defense? And even as an A&M fan, I can back up UT and say they likely haven't done anywhere close to what Briles let happen at Baylor

My first upvote ever...and given to an Aggie! What is the world coming to? Oh yeah, f*** Baylor.

I bet every SEC coach's texts contain similar stuff.
I can with absolute certainty tell you that loser greg mcgarity is not participating in texts with our coach trying to skirt turning our players in for transgressions.

I'm sure Texas will hire Briles.

No. This was systemic. Has been for years at Baylor. They knew exactly what they had and they liked him.

Yeah, I think only two of these are particularly worrying on their own, but they all point to a bigger problem at Baylor.
Also glad to see some justification after telling Rantards we shouldn't hire CAB over and over.
