Jalen Hurts is on the downturn, Jason Kelce retired, they couldn't make it work with AJ Brown, Saquan is about to turn 30, and their HOF right tackle just retired mid-season.

It's time for them to blow it up on offense.

Lampkin got a ton of praise in training camp, Jergens has been pretty bad and they’ve been moving him around to make it work and it hasn’t so I think this was just them pouncing on a huge over pay by the ravens

Supposedly the front office guy who did their cap work left to go start a NLI firm. So they're facing a cap reckoning in a few seasons unless they start facing the problem now; the Lane Johnson retirement didn't help their cap situation either.

Explaining the salary-cap fallout from Lane Johnson’s retirement
quote:

Philadelphia’s next move will determine when the remaining charges reach its cap. Processing Johnson’s retirement immediately could accelerate a substantial portion of the contract’s unaccounted-for bonus money. Over the Cap lists $42.89 million in potential dead money tied to the 2027 league year, although the final accounting will depend on when the transaction is formally processed and whether the contract is adjusted beforehand.

The Eagles could leave Johnson on the reserve/retired list and delay processing the contract’s separation until after June 1, 2027. A post-June 1 treatment would let Philadelphia split the remaining dead money between 2027 and 2028 instead of absorbing the full accelerated charge in one season. Over the Cap currently lists a post-June 1 separation in 2027 at $16.614 million in dead money for 2027 and $26.276 million for 2028, creating $4.476 million in 2027 cap savings compared with Johnson’s scheduled $21.09 million charge.

Hard trade to refuse. The Eagles now sit with two number ones and two number twos in the 2028 draft. That fifth gives them three fifth round picks in 2027. Lots of draft capital for Howie to work his magic.

They aren’t doing anything at all with what they have right now. Blow it up while these guys still have decent value

I’d trade Hurts and Saquan

Keep hearing reports of the toxicity in the locker room.

I don't think so. Jergens will be a good fit

I mean even if he gets back to form, a second rounder for an interior Olinemen is pretty nuts in compensation.

On top of that, Pick pretty much any stat or analytic and he’s been awful in it this year and last.

I could definitely see this as being true. Siriani is a clown and Hurts comes off as a diva these days.

This is the way forward. Not sure what kind of value Saquan holds at his age, but its time for new blood.

If Hurts does get traded it wont be until after 1Jun2027. I don't see his stats improving much this year so interested in seeing how the team plays this out going into the offseason.

Hurts seems like a good dude which is why much of the fansbase has been behind him and blame his inconsistencies on everything else.

But being a good dude only gets you so far, hes an avg qb at best.
