Anyone ever seen a team fumble the snap in a victory formation?

The Arkansas fumble of ‘98 was close, but not victory formation

Bill Arnsparger was the Giants HC and none other than Herm Edwards with the scoop and score.

If they had been in the victory formation, no fumble, and Tennessee would have no national championships in the last fifty years.

No because defenses don’t try to disrupt it. I have a thread going on that because it bothers me

Regarding the Miracle at the Meadowlands...

Nope

John McVay was the HC.

If you are referring to the Miracle at the Meadowlands that was a botched handoff by Joe Pisarcik to Larry Csonka.

Explain how you could disrupt the center exchange between center and QB.

Have guys jump over, dive low, get running starts... it’s obviously still low percentage but you need to make them both uncomfortable.

Also, false starts in V formation should result in loss of down. It just sucks seeing a team kneel out 2 minutes.

And no I don’t even like the Seahawks.

Broadcasted an STM at Breaux Bridge game years ago and BBHS did it

The STM center went to snap the ball and the BBHS NG reached across and slapped it out of his hand and recovered it. The play was obviously illegal but the refs somehow let it stand.

Nope, but Baylor lost to UNLV by running the ball on the last play of the game instead of kneeling.

Troy at Oklahoma State 2010. IIRC Troy fumbled it right back.

My freshman year of HS, we lost a playoff game. Game was a little chippy.

By the time the other team had secured a position to just kneel the clock out, we actually sacked the QB twice (and got into a pushing match both times). Granted, this isn't really different than a QB just kneeling it anyway, but he did have to work to secure the ball.

I'm sure it's happened in HS a lot.

SC lost to NC State in 80s while running victory formation. It was a time management thing not a fumble but only team I know of to run it and lose.

I dont recall it at the college or nfl level.
But it happened against my high school, chspc probably back around 1994-1995 against chapel trafton. Catholic was kneeling it, and the trafton def lineman fove under and slapped the ball lose between the qb and center exchange, and another lineman dove over the top to knock it from the qb. This was in the last minute of the game. Trafton drove down and got the win with about 50 seconds left too
