If I can’t watch it for free on my rabbit-eared black and white zenith, I’m out!

I don't think the average viewer even cares enough to find this game. There's going to be at least 5-10M people looking for it Saturday night who have no idea it's not on broadcast tv. They might get some to sign up, but the NFL is built on casual viewership and this seems like a bad way to go about it.

Yep. If you have Prime anyway or you have Peacock anyway you'll watch.

Otherwise, you're not going to sign up for one game. You'll just find it on the radio or get updates for an app.

Even if I really cared about this particular game I wouldn't subscribe, because I don't want to reward the NFL or send a message that this works.

Well, I get every Premier League (Soccer) game by having Peacock, and they have a lots of good movies etc. etc. They might offer a trial package you can then cancel.

But its worth it to me for the Soccer games I get every year. 75 bucks a year.

I think NBC is reeeeeeeally thinking Amazon Prime and Peacock are apples to apples.

It isn't. I hope it ends up being a disaster.

How much longer until the Super Bowl is hidden behind some shitty app? Or PPV?

FWIW - the broadcast quality of NFL on Peacock is exceptional. Better than a good CBS feed and far better than the standard definition that Fox tries to pass off as high definition.

I don’t think it’s considered boycotting if you can’t get it. Like saying I’m boycotting Ferrari.

Of course it's the coldest game in history and must watch TV.

I see they are offering a year for 30 bucks. Maybe I'll cave.

We just had the discussion in our house. It's a no go for us. It's not the money, it's the principle.

Everybody is going to illegally stream it.

For not smart people as myself, can you explain how one would go about that?
