Dude, there used to be a time when you had to go to the game to see it...because it was blacked out. Yes, playoff games.
There used to be a time you had to walk everywhere because no vehicles had been invented. There used to be a time when you ate all of your food raw because no one had figured out fire. These things evolved because of necessity and convienance. Someone figured out a way to make it better and easier for you to live your life. This does not make it easier and better to live my life. This is not evolving. This is devolving.
You're right you used to have to go in person to see playoff games. Then someone figured out that was terribly inconvienant and there was a great opportunity to show the game to millions of people. Sure they found a way to profit off of this but it gave millions of people who otherwise couldn't see the game the opportunity to see the game. This does the opposite. This takes away the ability for millions of people to see the game and shrinks the audience down into the thousands. This is the opposite of progress. This is greed.

frick you Roger Goodell, frick you NBC, frick you Peacock, and frick anyone and anything about this. I will watch Tom Grossi's stream during the game and watch the replay on the NFL Channel after the game ends. They shouldn't call it Peacock. They should call it Vulture. I hope this ends up becoming the worst business decision since New Coke.

A certain restaurant with orange shorts will have it

And I love how easily people will justify stealing if it falls in line with their beliefs.
No honorable Patriot watches the NFL in the first place. And most certainly doesn't steal via a site like streameast.

I already have Peacock so I’ll be kicked back on a warm couch with the fireplace on watching a great playoff game
Posted on 1/13/24 at 1:28 pm to Damone
It’s like $5 and you can cancel anytime. I only feel bad for boomers who don’t know how to access it.

Well, I'm not getting Peacock just to watch a game i'm only mildly interested in - so I guess in a way yes?

Seems like most of this board is both too poor to afford peacock and don’t get Monday’s off for MLK!

Well that just sounds stupid. They will absolutely take note if u cancel your subscription. It's paid up this month, yeah, but they are much more worried about next month's take. Like wise if u subscribe today they will absolutely use that to decide if they will continue to stream games exclusively on certain platforms. Not to mention that any show that has commercials gets paid for EACH VIEWER that views those commercials. So ur wrong, and that's OK! But hers an idea. Maybe, if u don't know what ur talking about, u shouldn't post things that may misinform people using this site for real answers.

Everyone that tunes in supports peacock via watching commercials. So u are supporting kids not being able to see their favorite team on the playoffs if their parents don't subscribe. No bueno

I signed up today and it was only $2.99. I probably wouldn’t have if it wasn’t going to be so cold. I love cold games.

Just signed up, lol at the complaints in this thread.
2 min of my time to sign up and $6 bucks. Will cancel next week.
Imagine melting down over the price of a happy hour beer for multiple hours of entertainment ??

Yeah peacock is an underrated app, especially if you like wwe. And they get good, recent movies.

Best part of this thread is everyone clamoring for a la carte TV for 5 years now but when they get the option they cry about it.

He should be happy. The snow probably filled in the potholes and evened out the 300 mile rumble strip called I-70 in Missouri.

I’ll watch the Pelicans

I don’t even know if we have peacock. If we do, I will watch a quarter to watch people freeze their asses off.
If not, I’m not going to subscribe. Not worth even minimal hassle to sign up and then cancel.

So it's really not a "boycott". You simply won't be watching and you're not affecting their bottom dollar either way.
Advertising revenue is based on ratings…. Lower ratings does affect their bottom dollar ultimately
