How did it feel when Red Sox swept the Rockies in 2007 World Series?

Baseball is a funny sport. It happens. The players have already moved past this.

For a fan, I cant see how you would put so much stock into 1 of 162.

And this is exactly why people think the MLB is boring. I used to be a big Red Sox fan ever since I was growing up because my parents had become big fans when they lived in Boston. Once Ortiz and co. retired and we unloaded all of our other star players like Mookie Betts and Bogaerts I just couldn't stay engaged for that long of a season without any fun players to follow.

In a regular season game? I lived through the chicken and beer fiasco, one game ain't shite.

Hell, I'm living through Chris Sale having a renaissance because we gave up on him, an owner that cares more about soccer than baseball, and our de-evolution to the Rays with a shittier scouting department.

Growing up my brother was a big Yankees fan so I started cheering for the Red Sox to spite him. If we had a local team that’s who I’d be a fan of but we don’t so I think most people fall into Yankees, Red Sox (national bandwagons), Cubs (WGN), Astros or Braves (geographically closest teams).

When I made this account I didn’t know what to name it but the Red Sox were having a good season so that’s what I went with. I wish I named it something else though because my level of fandom for them is far far less than any local team, even the Pels.

Not sure why you left out the Cardinals. They definitely have a national fan base.

No way the Red Sox will ever be able to come back from that. Might as well pack it up and call it a season now. Just like LSU in the CWS last season. Florida drops 24 on the Tigers, and beats LSU by 20. We all know what happened after that.

I've live the vast majority of my life in Louisiana and I din not see a res six hat until the very late 90's and it was a few the the early 2000's they start winning and I see them everywhere. They have dropped off significantly in popularity in Louisiana.
Houston and Atlanta are the most favorite teams outside of the Yankees
I'm a Mets fan all 8 of us know what's up

What’s it feel like to lose to a team who just got a 20 piece dropped on them?

I've been a fan since I was 5 or 6 years old. Have close family that was born there. Proud of our 100 % Italian heritage. Been to Fenway many times, and there is nothing like it. They've broken my heart many of times. In 2004, my life was satisfied. Being a fan of that team is an obsession, and my friends, who I have known all my life realize that. The Yankees have a connection in Louisiana going back to Ron Guidry, and those exhibitions back in the Superdome. The Cubs always had a following, going back to 1984, along with the Braves. How many people remember coming home from school at 3pm, and watching Chicago and listening to Harry loaded , ramble on about someone's birthday in Decatur (fouled away or little bit low and outside) or Arnie Harris his producer 15 Buds in? Good times.

You could have just said I loved a team that was winning and then lost all that self gratification when they started losing so I dropped them.
