From Golf Digest a few years ago:
Still, the bottom line is impressive. Though domestic TV is a break-even deal and concessions also break even, at best, there is the $34.75 million from tickets sales and that $25 million in broadcast rights to 190 overseas territories. There is also the $47.5 million in merchandise and $7.75 million in concessions. That gets us to $115 million before expenses.
Surprisingly, it appears CBS and Augusta have a sweetheart deal that is not a huge moneymaker for either side. Augusta, in return for not getting HUGE money from CBS or another partner, has a great deal of say in who, what, and how CBS broadcasts the tournament. Bottom Line: Augusta National has money to burn.

Is it Bermuda? But for the Masters it's overseeded rye.
It's a hybrid. It's a cross between Kentucky bluegrass, featherbed bent, and northern California sinsemilla. The amazing stuff about it, is that you can play 36 holes on it in the afternoon, take it home and just get stoned to the bejeezus.

So where does their real money come from?
The TV rights are probably 9 digits.

Yes it is. But not maintained in tournament conditions. That is where the stress for the grass comes in. It’s not stressed nearly as badly when they can maintain at taller heights.

Seems like with all the money August is ripe for a good scandal. I know there’s a lot of wealthy people involved but there’s a lot that arent also

Has ANGC every done anything that disappointed? Whatever they’re doing, they’re years ahead of what you think they’re doing.
They were probably digging up to create more tunnels underneath.

7.75 is gross revenue. Can still be break even if they spend about 7.75 on food and drinks

They make a boatload on merchandise and probably at a huge margin. That is one place they don’t cut patrons a deal.
