Oh ya think?

He'd have to send in an absentee ballot anyway wouldn't he?

But the problem I have with this board is the fact you have people ALWAYS saying Jamil Hill, Stephan A Smith, Joe Morgan, other blacks on ESPN are racist but they are QUICK to say Rush is not racist.

i am unaware of any of those people saying blacks are superior to whites solely because of their skin color and any resulting td.com controversy. Have those threads been here and I missed them?

i have seen a bunch of threads where people have said hill/smith/scoop jackson are manipulative, ignorant and misguided but I can't remember seeing anyone here saying they are racist.

Someone had the damn nerves to say Jason Whitlock is a racist, wtf. Now that's funny.

Whitlock said in the piece he didn't want to write about it but they made him so instead of doing something worthwhile he wrote a scoop jackson tribute piece. which is funny because whitlock has destroyed jackson on numerous occasions for his lazy writing and ignorance.

Of course not, isn't John Kerry's in-laws (Heinz) part owner of the Steelers. Liberals definitely don't support Rush.

Those were some of my favorite columns, but that's also why Whitlock got fired from The Mouse...

nteresting. I thought he was just a sportswriter.

No you didn't. You know he's a black sportswriter and you know that being black is part of what defines him and what we writes about. Being black means something and in almost all cases has an effect on the way the person behaves. I don't know exactly what it means, b/c I don't define it, but I know that black people think that being black means something or else they wouldn't talk about it all the time.

It's bullshite to call people for out for saying "black sportswriter" or the like. Don't on the one hand talk about black culture, black communities, traditional black colleges, Congressional black caucuses, etc etc and then tell white people we're racist for acknowledging it. If there was ever a time for such inanity, it's over now and we're not going to stand for it.

Rush Limbaugh was right about McNabb, or at the very least was wrong but just expressing an opinion that didn't disparage anyone for their ethnicity. Tom Jackson defines himself as a black man and therefore couldn't stand to hear it. I'm not crying for him or any NFL player who can't stand to play for Rush.

You've never read Whitlock before, have you?

And why do you think Bob Irsay is opposed to Rush?

i think there are some really dumb people that don't know what the word "racist" actually means

and since you apparently couldn't detect it, that whole post was coated in sarcasm

Ya know, I have read Whitlock and listened to him many times on Sunday mornings and he almost never jumps on these racial/political issues, or he dismisses them. And I'm not saying that he shouldn't ever or he shouldn't be allowed to speak his mind and such. I'm just surprised to hear the same rhetoric from him that I usually hear from the PTI geniuses or from mediamatters or the dailykos. Just from reading this article, he rehashes the same Limbaugh descriptors that I have been hearing from numerous talking heads for the past week, black and white. So he isn't bringing anything new to the table, he is only rehashing what others have already said.

He is the first I have seen to make the Jay Z comparison, which I think he should have left alone, because IMO it weakens his stance.

So to sum it up, it looks to me like Whitlock was spoon fed a bunch of anti-Rush stuff, added his own little bit about Jay Z which doesn't hold water IMO), and put this out there just to make sure people knew he hated Rush also.

The sad thing about this Rush stuff is that some blacks don't realize that if the Rams leave STL because there wasn't anyone to keep them in the city it'll only hurt St. Louis which have large black population. STL can use all the dollars people bring into the city from those NFL games, the downtown area businesses, hotels, etc can use the money people bring into the city.

And I still don't see why AL Sharpton sent a letter to Roger. I didn't even know the guy liked football. I wonder if he'll stage some protest in STL if Rush buys the team.lol.

When I looked on ESPN.com all and saw that all I could do was shake my head.lol. Can't believe that Rush owning a team in STL bothers Al so much he sent the commish a letter.lol. I don't even know whens the last time Al Sharpton stepped foot in St. Louis.

Its getting to that point. People have been sued and I am sure have won because of things people have said.

Now show me some women having problems with his lyrics. Ask beyonce' (sp) how Jay Z treats her and respect her. Do the white NBA players have a problem with Jay Z saying those things, what about cheerleaders? If NFL players are coming out saying they don't want to play for Rush then something is wrong. Jesse, AL, etc aren't telling those players how to feel. You have athletes speaking out against Rush.

It's OK for Black Men especially rappers and athletes to exploit women, rap about rape and murder and call each other ****. Get a white person anywhere close to doing any of those things, and we are racist. Again the double standard rears it's ugly head.

Anyone who thinks he's racist, really don't know what racist means. Whitlock is far from it also.
