Am I the only person who likes the 35 second shot clock in college hoops

I like the 35 second shot clock for these reasons:
-Competitive Balance, with a 24 second shot clock there would not be as much parody, the deeper/more athletic teams like Kentucky would be even more dominant. A 35 second shot clock allows less gifted teams to control the tempo of the game similar to how wishbone offenses do the same in football. The more possessions in a game, the more favored the deeper/more talented team is.
-It emphasizes defense, a 24 second clock would favor transition teams and faster paced offenses. A 35 second shot clock, playing defense is more important. Virginia and Wisconsin are 2 teams whose entire identity is based on the 35 second shot clock and would not be able to do what they do with a 24 second one.
-It allows for more offensive creativity, the Princeton offense would not exist, and unique yet highly entertaining to watch motion offenses like Stew Morrill's(he is retiring after this season, so sad) at Utah State would die. A 24 second shot clock just encourages simple offenses and one on one matchups, as well as chucking; instead of 5 guys working together to create an open look.

Youre correct, for once

I personally wish they had a 10 second clock.
more half court shots....
more half court shots....

I've always thought 35 was too long.
For the college game, 24 isn't long enough, I'd like to see a 30 second clock.

have they added this to HS basketball yet?
I used to hate it when teams would just hold the ball for minutes at a time in HS
our idiot coach would tell us to just let them too

I don't like the 35 second clock. Too much time.

I'd prefer a 30 second shot clock. 35 just takes so much drama out of the game late. 8-9 point leads (with 5 minutes left or so) feel almost insurmountable at times in a 40 minute game.

That's not what teams like Princeton or Utah State do, though. Or even swing offenses like Wisconsin or Virginia. Good slow tempo offenses move the ball around and all 5 players are in constant motion.
I have no connection or relation to Utah State but one year(around 2003-ish?) I watched one of their NCAA tournament games against the Kansas team that lost to Syracuse in the final that year. They were huge underdogs but their coach is an offensive genius and they only lost by 3. Their offensive philosphy was a total thing of beauty and I became a bandwagon Utah State fan after that. Shame their coach is retiring after this year.

This is why HS basketball is unwatchable... team gets a 6 point lead in the 4th quarter and it becomes a game of keepaway

Definitely this. It's too long for sure. It doesn't have to be 24 like the NBA, but 35 is way yoo much IMO. 30 seems like a nice compromise, and you could still have plenty of time to run offenses.
Personally, I wouldn't mind it slightly shorter than 30 even (maybe 28ish).

A 24 second shot clock makes the end of games more exciting. It is easier for a team to make a comeback, down 10 points, with 4 minutes to go, with a 24 second shot clock, than a 35 second shot clock.

I love defense, but I am in the minority. People want to see scoring. I also love transition/fast paced basketball. As do most people. I have no desire to watch Pablo Prigioni dribble the ball for 31 seconds looking for someone to pass it to.

Meh.
If you can't get a decent shot off in 24 seconds, you don't deserve any points on that possession, IMO

it sucks arse and needs to be dropped down to at least 30.
it should really be 24 though since that's what all the pro leagues have.
I wouldnt be opposed to the reset to 14 seconds if you get an offensive rebound that they started in Europe either.

NCAA women use a 30-second shot clock. No reason for the men to use a 35-second shot clock.

So you want to see less talented teams win by literally stopping play so the more talented team doesn't have as many chances to score? Gross
College basketball is horrible. The long shot clock is a reason why.

Reduce the shot clock to 30 seconds and call the fouls as the rule changes stipulated and college basketball would instantly become a better product.
