They are building a new stadium for the A's. Taxpayers gonna have to dig deep to come up with that 158m.

I paid only $2.00 for a hot dog there. I felt like I won that day.

Can’t you read? Online poster just told you the taxpayers get that money back. Just ignore that the big winner will always be the owner.

I've said my opinion on the stadium, but lets be honest, we (texpayers) don't get our money back, in any form or fashion. As a long-time Saints ticket holder I'm fine with this, but the gov't, and the Raiders, ain't giving money back.

The Raiders are seeking $75 million from LVSA, which would come from an existing taxpayer fund allocated to Allegiant Stadium-related improvements and will privately fund the remainder.

Again, half comes from a fund with tax money, that money is just diverted from something else. It may be a legit question to discuss when the government spends tax money or a stadium, or a train station, or something else.

Last economic impact projections are 95% BS, we all know this.

I agree. I was being sarcastic. I realize you can’t really put a price on lifestyle and entertainment opportunities like having a pro franchise. I also realize most money will come from something like a hotel or resort tax, not the average citizens. I also realize that money can’t be spent on things like infrastructure. Yes, I agree, whatever money comes back isn’t going to you.

Agree 100% with everything you just said! It is a bit ridiculous how people knight for sports franchises and new stadiums as the best tax-payer investments ever.

This shite is so absurd. Millionaires get taxpayers to build their palace, and now we are asking for millions more 6 years later? What a world

And in 20-30 years, they will be asking to demo it and build a new one

All you have to do is call their bluff and say NO. What will they do, leave LV? OMG!!! We will lose a terribly shitty football franchise.

LV is a strong draw. They could have the Jags there in a couple of weeks if they wanted to.

Raiders would be absolutely crazy to leave. There isn't another market currently in the US without a team that wouldn't print the money that Vegas does. They've finally found their forever home.

Meh. Sounds like less of a stadium upgrade and more of an exterior improvement to help with gameday flow.
