Refs should be absolutely ashamed and ridiculed. That was a perfectly legal formation on the 2 pt conversion

Scored TD. Went for 2 to take lead. Converted the play, but was flagged for illegal formation. The pre-play movement was intricate for high school but it seemed to me that the formation was perfectly legal. Second attempt was intercepted.

congrats to ASH. Took advantage of the gifts given by Acadiana. Acadiana has won 40% of the 5A championships since 2006

The announcer said they called illegal formation, but you couldn’t hear the ref. Didn’t look like an illegal formation. The 2pt try was good and would have given them the lead.
However, it did look like they may have had two players moving, or a potential false start, which is what I thought the ref signaled.
Not sure I agree with not kicking the XP after the penalty.

The wide receiver shifted in tight and wasn’t set before the running back went in motion.

I don’t have a dog in this fight, and was sort of rooting for ASH, but the WR on the left most certainly moved while the other player was in motion.
The announcers were guessing at the call, as the refs mic wasn’t working. They guessed wrong.
