But if illegal motion was the reason for the flag, it was a valid flag.

That’s because two men can both go in motion if they both set again before the snap. If the RB would have become set out as a receiver, there would be no “two men in motion”.

You can’t throw a flag the moment two people in the backfield move at the same time. They both have the chance to reset.

And the ref that threw the flag was the ref on the side of the receiver who was still getting set when the RB went in motion.

Doesn’t matter STM would have beaten either team.
