Chris Paul has had many memorable playoff games, especially with New Orleans

Destroyed the Mavs in 08
There was the duel with Parker vs the Spurs in 08 as well
Vs the Lakers when the Hornets were the 7th seed he had two Godly games

Dude has a career average in the playoffs of: 20.8/4.9/9.5 with 2.3spg, 0.1bpg, and 3.0tov shoots 48.3/38.7/82.5 His game is all about efficiency, that is why he's the best PG in the game right now. He had a great playoff run last year as well, averaged great numbers as well. I can't fault him for not "elevating" his game any more than what he does, he's never been a me-first shooter like some of these combo guards or PGs like Rose, Westbrook, etc.

I said he has great numbers BUT to do well in the playoffs you need a superstar that can take over in the last 2 minutes and he doesn't do that, at all.

It's pretty dang tough for a PG to take over, and Paul has actually taken over quite a few playoff games. It's not his fault his bench freaking blows.

Tell that to Steph Curry, he already has more impressive last 2 minutes of games than Paul

I think he had some pretty clutch moments against the Grizzlies as well.

Steph Curry is not a traditional point guard. Paul is. I do think that this is a big reason that the NBA is moving away from the traditional point guard though. Point guards score and score in crunch time more than ever before.

I am just saying they have at least 2, maybe 3 if you take in their entire basketball career, sure fire locked up hall of famers on the team along with the MVP of last years finals and a few other studs to go along with a top 3 NBA coach ever. What team, besides the Laker team that lost to the Pistons, has ever had that kind of team and lost?

In the playoffs? That is absolutely not true. They're also very different types of players, but Paul has definitely had his fair share of clutch moments in the playoffs. I just meant it's not as easy for a distributor like him to appear as clutch as a scorer like Durant.

Well ya, he wasn't a PG until his senior year of college but you need a PG that can just take over if you want to win the playoffs unless you have a SUPERSTAR on the team that can take over. Paul is a great player but I would go to war in the Playoffs with Parker over him any day of the week.

Also, what does clutch even mean? Curry needed his foot on the line shot to miss and an offensive rebound just to get the chance to be clutch in Game 3.

Parker has been horrible in the playoffs this year. Usually, I'd agree though.

It's funny that people still think distributors matter at the end of big playoff games. Playoff games are won and lost on who can take over at the end of games.
