I know it happened against the Grizz earlier this year. Turned into a CP3 turnover to end the game.

I swear I've seen it happen a few times to him this season. It must have to do with their lack of depth.

He isn't a choker, he just doesn't take over playoff games down the stretch and that is what makes all-time greats. I am actually surprised his playoff stats are as good as they are because he doesn't really have any memorable playoff games which is why I have never agreed he is a top 5 NBA player.

A quick look at the minutes played by Griffin and Paul this series.

Game 1: 43 minutes for Griffin and 38 minutes for Paul
Game 2: 47 minutes for Griffin and 43 minutes for Paul (OT)
Game 3: 32 minutes for Griffin and 33 minutes for Paul
Game 4: 43 minutes for Griffin and 38 minutes for Paul
Game 5: 41 minutes for Griffin and 41 minutes for Paul

Average: Griffin 41 minutes per game and 38.6 minutes per game for Paul.

Season average: 35 minutes per game for Griffin and Paul

Wondered if it was a factor to Griffin short FTs at the end of this game.

And it isn't a coincidence that older players are able to play better in the playoffs when they are able to get more rest than they do in the regular season

Dude has a career average in the playoffs of:
20.8/4.9/9.5 with 2.3spg, 0.1bpg, and 3.0tov
shoots 48.3/38.7/82.5

His game is all about efficiency, that is why he's the best PG in the game right now. He had a great playoff run last year as well, averaged great numbers as well. I can't fault him for not "elevating" his game any more than what he does, he's never been a me-first shooter like some of these combo guards or PGs like Rose, Westbrook, etc.

It's pretty dang tough for a PG to take over, and Paul has actually taken over quite a few playoff games. It's not his fault his bench freaking blows.
