s it just me or is this the least hyped, least talked about National Championship game in some while. Sure, we've had some epic NFL Playoff games and storylines (Bengals collapse, sub zero temps in Minnesota) that have stolen the show. That being said, I hardly notice any ads or anyone on ESPN and other sports shows even mentioning the game.

In all seriousness, why should anyone outside of TV executives give one shite about what the ratings will be?

Everyone knows Bama is going to mudhole Clemson and they have zero national appeal.

The 37 mythological championships put fear into opponents prior to saban.

Honestly, it's too late in the year. If they go to 8 they need to start like a week after the season. I probably will not even watch it unless it's on in the background.

Alabama won't settle? What happened the decade or so before Saban. The success has little to do with Alabama, and everything to do with Saban. Is half the team even from Alabama?

The coaches either fielded well-coached and well-disciplined teams or they were gone, period. No compromise then and no compromise ever. Produce teams that reflect image of the Capstone properly or you are gone, period. If you can't produce a well-coached football team that is more physically fit and dominating than any opponent, quit the job so that we can get somebody who can.

That's my personal philosophy. It just so happens that Alabama seems closest to my personal philosophy. Other schools seem to have squishy priorities and seem amateurish, naive, unprofessional and frankly mediocre. That shite is alien to me.

I want to see pure professionalism and absolute, uncompromising commitment to PERFECTION down to the tiniest detail to include how many fingers to put on the ground at the line of scrimmage before the snap.

Provide guidance and instruction to the players, but hold them accountable. If they don't like being coached and being held accountable, they will transfer to another place with a different philosophy.

Strive to attain Perfection, and, in the process of so doing, we will attain Excellence. That's my philosophy. I learned it from studying Coach Vince Lombardi's methods.

I think it would be great if other SEC schools could step up and win the National Championship soon -- but they won't do it by acting like the amateur sports team of the local school.

LSU has good reason to be optimistic about 2016. My guess is that some team leaders like Fournette are leading.

The final game of the season should have been last week. Outside of the south, not many folks care about CFB unless there is a storybook matchup. Too bad cos this could be a really interesting game.

Anyone watching the national championship show? This interview with Eric church is one of the most forced alpha wannabe awkward bits I've ever seen. Jesus this is painful, what the frick is ESPN doing and how big of a poser is this guy conducting this interview

As other posters have stated, the BCS was better. No one beside die hard college football fans, Clemson fans and Alabama fans care about the game tomorrow.

The playoff date will have to be moved around to make this thing work.

I think you're wrong. No way to complete a diagnosis analysis over the internet having never met a person. If you knew anything about attaining excellence in all endeavors, this would be self-evident to you.

If you guys think the north isn't interested, you're wrong. They'll be pulling for Clemson just as hard as you LSU fans, because the north and west hate the SEC.

Seems to me like he's using his airtime trying to springboard into acting or something. Overall he's just too much.

i watched a lot more bowl games than I thought I would this year.

but usually the games I picked to watch weren't much of a game.

the allure just isn't there for me in this game tomorrow night.

I'll be looking up and catching glimpses of it when I'm out on the town tomorrow night but won't watch it closely unless Clemson hangs in there.

all the bama people already have this one in the bank... it would be funny as hell if they lost but I don't see it happening.

when is the last time bama lost in a national title game anyway? the 70's?

frick this i'm out of here...

Disagree.

I feel like dynasties can elevate the sport and turn certain teams and certain players into legends.

You're nuts. Most people I know couldn't care less about this game. It has nothing to do with the SEC. This isn't an appealing matchup because Clemson is playing. Clemson's a small, do nothing school with a history of "Clemsoning" games.

For example, replace Alabama with Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oregon, USC, Notre Dame....

Ohio State vs. Clemson
Oklahoma vs. Clemson
Oregon vs. Clemson
USC vs. Clemson
Notre Dame vs. Clemson

Now, do the same with Clemson....

Ohio State vs. Alabama
Oklahoma vs. Alabama
Oregon vs. Alabama
USC vs. Alabama
Notre Dame vs. Alabama

Which sounds more appealing...
