Very and those boys know exactly what's going on. They're still pussies for canceling the game tho.

I apologize. Using monkeys and bananas as the theme when playing a black school is just made up outrage.
Or there’s a ton of people in this thread who are ignoring the problem.
People like you see racism in everything, who gives two shits what dumb kids do anyway.
Getting mad about stuff like this brings more attention and actually makes things worse.
As a black man , woman why get mad over words and stupid stuff like this. Black people choose to get mad over a word that they call each other all day. You can call me a honky, cracker, white boy whatever you like , I choose not be offended because those words don't mean shite to me.
You give that word power when you get mad, you give these actions power when you cancel a game. Just play it and dog stomp them and when you win have the whole team eating bananas and laughing at these dumb kids. Then you take it and it's not a big deal. But the way people like you think you make it way worse.

The photo, which sparked the uproar that led to the cancelation of the 100-year-old “8 Mile War” rivalry game, is identical to an image from the website of Camp Luther, a faith-based camp in Wisconsin. The website says the photo is of college student summer staffers.

They’re calling the predominantly black school monkeys. It’s extremely racist and it’s hard to imagine someone thought this was a good idea.
If you hadn’t been told it was racist you wouldn’t even think it

Are we really expecting a completely feminized culture - one dominated by children being predominantly raises by mother's, grandmothers, aunts with almost no adult male presence - not to be over-emotional, soft, illogical and easily manipulated?

STFU snowflake. People like you are the problem. The theme has nothing to do with the opponent. People like you just read something into everything.

Looking at the records and the past games I’m guessing Pickens just wanted an excuse to avoid the yearly arse kicking
ETA and come to find out it wasn’t even actual students from the school in the picture? This is why democrats keep losing elections

People seem to be missing those kids were not students there. It was some random photo from a summer camp in Wisconsin that was repurposed for the Twitter post. Makes in even more asinine for the perpetually offended

I don't get the racial component.
Lol, nothing gets by you. I’ve seen this meme here 1,000 times.
You don’t have to be offended by it to see how one might interpret this as a racial joke, even if a harmless coincidence.

some of you guys are giving these kids way more credit for thinking that far into it - not every single thing is intentionally malicious.
Yeah as someone who is interacting with more and more teenagers these days due to my kids…they’re absolutely all little self centered retards.
Tame the tornadoes is exactly what I would expect a high school girl student goverment president to come up with and think very clever.

Implying that the black team are akin to wild animals
I guarantee you no one thought that… except black people.
Black people: “I’m offended, that animal theme is directed at us”
Everyone else: what makes it directed at you? Do you consider yourself animals?”
Black people: *silence*

Why when you see or hear monkeys, do you think of black people? I don't. That's on you
