I’m watching the game and I couldn’t believe AM coach didn’t milk the clock before scoring their TD. Dude was running no huddle, passing every play when there’s clearly enough time to get all the plays in. At least make usc spend some timeouts. He left USC with 1:50 with two timeouts which is an eternity in modern football.
It’s like their coaches can’t think 2 steps ahead in managing a game. Sure it’s a meaningless bowl game but it shows the lack of planning from the head coach which is essential for success.

With the millions spent on coaching staffs at these universities, it seems the casual fan has a better concept of time management than they do. It just amazes me how often stuff like this happens.

When A&M went to Florida and beat that arse, I thought they would end up much better than they finished. I don't know if they got worn down, or the start of the season was a flash in the pan or what. The loss to Notre Dame seemed to be one of those things you look back on and see a lot of lessons and growth, and that seemed to be true at the UF game, but then they really tapered off down the stretch. Surprised me. That defense to close out the bowl game was awful.
