and an extremely bigoted one at that

so is the belief that being against gay marriage is wrong

all opinions/beliefs are discriminatory by their very nature

I don't hate you but i believe that you should not be granted the same treatment under the law as everyone else.

Yeah, very sincere

Legislating what SHOULD be in people's hearts is Totalitarianism.

People respecting the right to have a certain belief is the goal. You don't have to like it, but it also doesn't mean you have the right to change it.

I love how people like you equate stating their religious beliefs as being a bigot

If you want to say that you hate gays that's fine

Opposing their equal treatment under the law is something else.

It's also extremely unchristian, but that's another discussion

Here is the quote

quote:

"To each his own, [but] I'm not with it," he said. "I have relatives who are gay. I'm not biased towards them. I still treat them the same. I love 'em. But again, I'm not with that. That's not something I believe in. But to each his own," he said.

Seems well thought out and reasonable to me

I disagree with him but I respect his opinion, and it doesn't seem to be slighted in any kind of hateful way at all

atleast he's honest.

I don't like the fact that people have to apologize for their opinions nowadays anyway... hopefully he doesn't.

and just to be clear... if a gay couple wants to be married, then so be it.

but this special treatment they crave from the public is super annoying. Okay, you're gay, its alright... but you shouldn't have to remind everyone over and over again.

People have associated negative connotations with words like "Bias" and "Discriminatory". They mean "Preference" or "Showing Preference". Nothing more.

If someone says that premarial sex is a sin and that they shouldn't have sex until marriage, does that make them a bigot?

Good for Adrian Peterson. He's free to believe whatever he wants. Just like some of you are free to get pissed off about it...which makes it even better.
