Theres a whole month left in the season. He was always going to get to 30/60 and beyond. He likely just wrapped up the MVP because of the way he hit his 30th homerun.

The media is still going to push for Betts. The media and MLB are ALWAYS behind the Dodgers, Mets, and Yankees. They will always pump the big markets…..NFL does the same thing

I'd feel a heck of a lot more comfortable if he hits 40/70 . But one more semi consistent month on a potential 100 win team should do it.

Mookie is nuts. The Red Sox were dumb to let him go.

Most of the media has actually been on the Acuña bandwagon all year.

I mean he’s had a great year but stolen bases in 2023 simply do not mean the same as stolen bases from 1898 to 2022. You can’t just gloss over the 3 significant rule changes responsible for the league-wide surge. Objectively he’d be sitting near 30/35 or 30/40 if this were last year

Considering the voters are the epitome of purists, it realistically remains Betts’ to lose

Stolen bases are his biggest advantage now. If he wss at 30/30 then more people would have Betts over him or possibly Freeman.

You're not wrong but you have to give him props for taking advantage of it.

And Freeman and Betts are going to cancel each other out in the vote and Acuña will win the MVP, as he should.

I rethought my stance. He's not wrong, I just want Ronnie to get the credit he deserves for being a complete player.
