Brutal

The full response from the NCGOP was on point. It's really comical there's this much outrage over a bill saying people need to use the bathroom according to their biological sex. I can't wait for this era of PC nonsense to be over.

This is all pretty stupid since the Governor is going to be replaced in a few months. But sure, lets all grandstand over an issue thats hot right now in order to pat ourselves on the back and ignore real problems. Im sure my trans friend

But those clowns in the North Carolina State House & Senate, who actually felt a need to introduce , vote for & pass the bill overwhelmingly shall still be there.

Good for the NCAA ,ACC , NBA & others protesting this bill.

Expected.

You'd think either Jacksonville or DC will get this game.

No it's not it's completely ridiculous and shows just out of touch with reality they are.
quote:

In an attempt at damage control as more businesses, conventions and sports events took their business out of North Carolina, McCrory signed an executive order reaffirming that businesses can still make their own decisions about their bathrooms and locker rooms. He passed it off as a change to the actual law, but The Washington Post's Fact Checkercalled that claim "misleading" and gave him three out of four Pinocchios for it.

But all of that pales in comparison to North Carolina Republicans' response to the latest fallout from the law. On Monday night, the NCAA announced it will relocate all seven of its championships from North Carolina for this academic year — including the biggest draw of all, the March Madness basketball tournament.

This time, it was the North Carolina GOP that missed the mark. In a statement, the party accused the NCAA of equating its opposition to the bathroom law to its opposition to allowing men and women to play together on the same team — a non sequitur if there ever was one. The party also compared itself to victims of Baylor football's sexual assault scandal — a tone deaf non sequitur if there ever was one.

Here's the full statement from North Carolina Republican Party spokesperson Kami Mueller:

This is so absurd it's almost comical. I genuinely look forward to the NCAA merging all men’s and women’s teams together as singular, unified, unisex teams. Under the NCAA's logic, colleges should make cheerleaders and football players share bathrooms, showers and hotel rooms. This decision is an assault to female athletes across the nation. If you are unwilling to have women’s bathrooms and locker rooms, how do you have a women's team? I wish the NCAA was this concerned about the women who were raped at Baylor. Perhaps the NCAA should stop with their political peacocking — and instead focus their energies on making sure our nation’s collegiate athletes are safe, both on and off the field.

A bunch illogical BS.

If only the law was just about bathrooms and not housing or workplace discrimination, too.

You'd think the former mayor of Charlotte wouldn't want to get in a dick-waving contest with the city over an ordinance that has no bearing on the rest of the state.

Stupid motherfricker.

Why is their so much outrage over saying that bathrooms and locker rooms are based on sex not gender? It's not mean to target trans people, but to prevent pervs from taking advantage of the president's measure. A trans who is in full transition, even pre-op, wouldn't have any problem using their gender specific bathroom or locker room in the first place.

I mean, I can't really get mad at the NCAA or the ACC for doing what they're perfectly in their rights to do. I can point out the hypocrisy of the NCAA's selective punishment; however, they're in their rights to move these events over something that they feel is wrong.

How exactly does holding an event in that state show approval for that state's policies

HB2 wipes out any and all local ordinances on discrimination and pay.

So, if Fayetteville or Jacksonville want to pass an ordinance offering service members and veterans connected to Fort Bragg or Camp Lejeune preferred parking or an extra discount on school supplies, they can’t. HB2 makes that illegal.

So, if Asheville wants to implement a a minimum wage hike to help local workers deal with insane costs of housing in the mountains, they can’t. HB2 makes it illegal.

HB2 forbids state courts from hearing any discrimination claims at all.

So, if you get fired because you are black, white, Hispanic, Asian, female, male, whatever – you have to hire a federal lawyer and go to federal court.

So, if your wife gets paid $9 an hour to do a job a guy with 2 years less experience got paid $20, you have to hire a federal lawyer and go to federal court.

HB2 allows business and government employees to discriminate against gay people.

So, if your business wants to tell a gay person to take a hike, then HB2 is cool with that. If a government employee wants to refuse to deal with someone because they are gay, then HB2 is cool with that.

And if you are cool with that, then you better not be on here complaining about the ACC exercising its right to pick venues in different states. You really can’t have it both ways.

Economic political blackmail, truly sickening.

States with values need to start doing the same blackmail against the SJW states.

It's truly frightening that such a small segment of the population (gays and trannys) wield such outrageous political power.

North Carolina needs to hold their ground and tell these terrorists to frick off.

Well he can thank the NC government for trying to tell him where to go to the bathroom. This is no different than if NC decided to raise taxes. This is the market's response to government intervention. Legislation has consequences.

Unfortunately, it's not consumers controlling this trend. The ideological decisions are being made at the top, not the bottom. People would still come see Katy Perry if she played in Charlotte. She'd deal with no ramifications whatsoever, even with a little bad press. Same for the NCAA.

While I disagree with the law, the NCAA's reaction is typical irrational political correctness, not some natural market response (although increasingly, the "market" is dictated by ideological decisions of producers).

If people got accurate information about Chickfila activities and declined to eat there, that would be a genuine outcome. This is liberal institutional bias masquerading behind fears of an adverse response from consumers which would never come to fruition.

Simpler to make it all about transgender bathrooms for simple people to be outraged over.

They hate discrimination so much they are going to discriminate against the population of an entire state.
