He and his girl are aromatherapy hippies and I think that initially made him skeptical about the vax. Also, he seems to be tight with Rogan, which has probably opened his eyes on some things. There is a faction of what I would call independent media liberals (Glenn Greenwald, Matt Taibbi, Jimmy Dore, Aaron Mate, Krystal Ball), some of which go on Rogan and are disgusted by big tech censorship, corporate media, and establishment Dems. They see things much the way Rodgers does now.

"When in the course of human history has the side that's doing the censoring and trying to shut people up and make them show papers and marginalize a part of the community ever been [the correct side]?" Rodgers said Thursday. "We're censoring dissenting opinions? What are we trying to do? Save people from being able to determine the validity on their own or to listen and to think about things and come to their own conclusion? Freedom of speech is dangerous now if it doesn't align with the mainstream narrative? That's, I think first and foremost, what I wanted people to understand, and what people should understand is that there's censorship in this country going on right now.
Never would have guessed all this would come from Rodgers.
Funny how we praise and want to give out medals for basic main stream Societal common sense stated clearly.
Time was - and not so long ago - it was never even considered that one of your neighbors, liberal or conservative, might have different opinions about freedom of speech than these.

He strikes me as a classical liberal if anything. The lefties of today consider that to be the far-right.

I think he's more of a free thinker and clearly not toeing the line for either side. More people should be.

While I didn’t disagree with anything he said.

You can’t complain about celebrities/athletes giving their political opinions while also praising Rodgers for his.

Sure but that goes both ways. The biggest supporters of "Athletes Deserve a Voice!" are people that are used to hearing things they agree with from Athletes. Rodgers speaks out against the vaccine and people want his name taken out of the MVP race

He is clearly communicating the GOP talking points. There is no “independence” in his thought.

Tell me you don't know what type of person Aaron Rodgers is without telling me you don't know.

I'm vaccinated and believe the vaccines work, but nothing he's saying is untrue. The part about the unvaccinated spreading it, censorship of dissenting opinions, requiring papers, trying to marginalize and punish a section of the country into compliance...it's all true baw. I get you love all those things, but

I am not a big fan of Aaron Rodgers and how he carries himself in the sports arena but he is spot on with his comments and I applaud him for sticking up for himself when it comes to the vaccine, the pandemic, and what this idiot President is saying.
If you believe the vaccine works, then why should should worry if others get it? If you believe all the talking points and you get it, you should be protected, period.
