Y’all are just mad now that any school can buy a stud.
I don’t really think that’s the case. I think it will be the same few-ish schools that were getting them before… I mean let’s say a random G5 comes up with money for a kid. He’ll still want nice facilities and good coaches there.
Kids are gonna go on visits like before and evaluate offers and come up with ones they’ll accept, THEN they’ll ask about NIL from those schools

Out of state tuition at Big State U along with room and board is well north of 40K per year. Hardly a small amount.
Big State U makes $100MM+ per year. How charitable to give the players 3% of the revenue while paying some dipshit associate AD of marketing $250k

Yeah, I’m sure a kid from the projects will turn down a million bucks because the other offer is a nice weight room

This is America, you have a right to make money, even if the college won’t necessarily pay you.
No one is forced to play NCAA sports nor is it a right to do so, the courts bungling those very basic facts because they’re too chicken shite to rule in favor of athletes against pro league age requirements is appalling.

Spare me. They’re housed, fed, given free gear, access to elite facilities and trainers and medical staff, and given a platform to market themselves. 9/10 guys on the roster are interchangeable, as seen in the portal. They’re not generating the money and selling tickets, the school brand is.

What I’m saying is that the smaller schools will have to overpay kids and they’re the ones who can’t afford to do so

Don't forget the ability to get a free degree which their fellow students go into debt for.

And some of them were VASTLY underpaid

That’s no reason to prohibit the 1/10 that are

Less now that they have to share the money

I’d wager that you could take ANYBODY from LSU’s roster last year and change them out and few would notice and revenue wouldn’t change much.
Sorry, nobody on LSU’s roster last year “generated” any significant money in revenue.

How many 7 jerseys did LSU sell during the TM7 era? Johnny Manziel literally renovated a stadium. It doesn’t matter who doesn’t generate value, it matters who does and its total bullshite to deprive those people of millions of dollars

How much was burrow worth coming from OSU?
He was a no-name 3 year bench rider who had to compete and win the starting job in the summer. He had to beat our Myles Brennan and he didn't secure the starting job until the week of the opener against Miami.

I referenced last year, and your counter is to bring up a guy from 12 years ago. Give Honeybadger the money then, that works.

Who said they generated millions? This is about revenue sharing. Did Ricky Collins generate millions? Kaleb Jackson? How are you going to decide which player earned X percentage of the pie?
I guess your in favor of Little Leaguers in Williamsport getting paid too?

Private equity will be along in the next 10 years to take over college football, maybe sooner.

Well y'all gave Vadal Alexander $180k coming out of high school in 2012.

If this is your premise no athletes should be paid.
You’re an idiot. Go whine about something else

That’s revenue sharing bro. That’s what the poster talked about.
Not my fault you’re being up players making money from 2012.

It’s dead and buried and GONE, GONE. 1998-2013. With mid late 2000s being the greatest time. Then jackasses with a whole lot of money had to come frick it up for us. If you really think about it it’s an absolute total shite show in every possible way
