Didn’t Alabama have a roster that had more future nfl players than anyone ever?
Brether, familiarize yourself with 56’ Oklahoma

The closest anyone got to beating 2019 LSU was an onside kick just to have a chance.

According to ESPN, LSU's win percentage was never lower than 67.5% with 8:15 left in the 4th quarter against UF.
Against Auburn, it was never less than 78.3% to start the 4th.
Against Bama, the low point was 73% with 14:33 left.
Against Texas, the low point was 64.1% with 11:23 left.
You are right the UF was closest with the least amount of time left, but Texas was "closest" at any point in the 4th quarter.

Perhaps that is what football neophytes do yes.

Not reading all this, but some unsung teams in my mind are: (a) 1991 Washington (they shared a title, but I'd like to see the numbers nerds do a dive on them); (b) Penn State 1994 (most balanced offensive machine I have ever seen -- I realize some like LSU 2019 were more explosive and their defense probably wasn't GOAT level -- and they didn't win a championship); Alabama 1992 (I'm guessing they don't get love because the offense was pedestrian?).

the more i think about it, i truly think i mostly hear them referred to as the greatest ROSTER, not necessarily team.

They are only at the disposal of their schedule. Which was good on paper despite playing in the big east
@Penn St
@Fl St
Washington
out of conference
It’s not like it was a cupcake set up.

2019 LSU did all of that with a Shrimp Boat Captain for Coach.

The biggest problem with comparing those teams to 2019 LSU is 2019 had Joe Burrow with an elite scheme to go with it. Burrow is going to end up an NFL hall of famer and those other 2 teams had QBs that barely sniffed the NFL. Would be different if all LSU had was Burrow, but we were completely stacked on top of having him.

Tommie Frazier had serious health issues with blood clots, missed most of '94 because of it, and never played in the NFL.
not sure even if healthy he would have made it since he was an option QB and nobody in the NFL was running option offenses.

Even with late scores in all three of those games, none of them ever had the ball with a chance to take the lead. The closest anyone got to beating 2019 LSU was an onside kick just to have a chance.
That still doesn’t equate to steamrolling everyone. LSU won those games by 3, 5, and 7 points. I’m not downplaying how good that LSU team was, but the “historical dominance” is blown out of proportion. The very next year Alabama beat Florida in the SEC title game by 8 points. Their next closest games were beating Ole Miss by 14 and Georgia by 17.

Based off of what exactly? Your assumption is better than mine because…… why?
Based on the defensive talent the U had on that team. Lsu wouldn’t just “name their score”.
Sean Taylor
Antrel Rolle
Jonathan Vilma
Jerome McDougle
Philip Buchanan
DJ Williams
Vince Wilfork
Ed Reed
William Joseph
Kelly Jennings
Mike Rumph
All first round picks on defense. Plus ten other guys who were drafted and you honestly think LSU could just do whatever they wanted against five first round draft picks starting on the back 7. I’m not saying who would win or lose but that game would be a battle.

How so?
….because they won 3 games by a combined 15 points. Was the math not clear in the post you responded to?

LSU at full strength at the end of 2019 wouldn’t lose to anyone short of NFL teams

Nebraska 95 was the best team.
not that it is all that relevant to this discussion, but they were the team slap in the middle of a ridiculous run of dominance.
a total of 3 losses over 5 seasons with 3 Natties.
think about that, over the stretch of 5 full seasons, they had the same number of National Championships as they did total losses.
and were a missed 45 yd FG on last play of a Bowl game from having 4 titles and only 3 losses.
