All said, Ohio State would be the 3rd best team in the SEC West this year, and 4th best team in the SEC West most years (but yes, ahead of Arkansas)

This is as stupid a statement as statements get.

Now: Is the program collapsing?

2 of the past 3 season Texas has finished in the top 3 in the country and in the previous calendar year Texas was in the national title game. The Horns continue to recruit very well. Texas had one crap season but to even suggest that the program is collapsing is silly.

I mean the way it looks right now it's a reasonable assumption that out of LSU, Arkansas, Bama, and Auburn that at least two of those teams would be better than Ohio State most years and some years 3 would be better

New OC / DC - could be at least 2 years before you know if that worked. Garret Gilbert gets too much crap. I actually think y'all should have fired Muschamp at the end of last season, you'd be better off with any meth'd up guy freaking out on the sidelines with defensive calls for 1/4 of the price. All I'm saying is the seasons where you ended up being in the top 3 of the country y'all had a stronger base going into it. You have to admit with new coaching staffs there's uncertainty in the air which to be fair is far from collapsing. shite LSU has uncertainty in the air every season

OSU would not be better than Alabama or LSU this year.

Ok, so if USC and Ohio State hadn't been investigated, Carrol and Tressel would have left anyways?

Didn't Schiano get asked to coach at the U?

Why did he stay at Rutgers?

Now: Disgraced from cheating had to run to the NFL with his tail between his legs.

You could say he left because SC was about to get hammered but to say he's disgraced is silly. Nowhere in the NCAA report does it say Carroll was cheating like it did with Tressel. If Carroll fails in the pros he can easily go right back to CFB and I'm sure plenty of schools would want his services.

OSU hasn't gone undeafeated in the Big 10 since 2006, the last 3 national champs out of the SEC have been undeafeated. I guess the SEC is just that much harder.

are you really going to play this game?

All had to vacate wins, and Rich Rod got hit with major violations at two schools.

FYI, OU's vacated wins have since been reinstated.

It's stupid Impermissible practices is a major violation, I thought that would be something minor.

07 MNC game was Tressel's only real postseason embarrassment. No one thought they would be there in 08, they had Texas dead to rights in 09 despite using two Qb's. BCS wins in 03,04,06,10,11.

he only criticism that he should get is for losing to Boise State and getting destroyed by West Virginia in two BCS bowls.

to be fair

i think WV was also a better team than OU

That was an extremely emotional game for them after the Dickrod debacle as well, i don't think OU stood a chance really. I think he should be criticized more for this last Fiesta Bowl, they still played tight and UConn is garbage. It should have been over after 1 quarter.

the worst is obviously the boise debacle

i just think that LSU, USC, UF, and WV were simply better teams

Wrong on both points. GG deserved every ounce of criticism he got and more. Texas will have another losing season if he starts ever game. Muschamp's D was statistically okay last season but the O was so unproductive and left them in so many bad situations that they were ****ed.

I agree - uncertainty but not necessarily a collapse. However, if Texas has another losing season after these changes then the word collapse might be fairly applied.

And even then he got them to a BCS game with basically a WR at QB and Adrian Peterson being out basically the whole season.
