The fact that Mack Brown was on that list in the first place is a joke.

I don't even criticize Bob Stoops too much for this. Boise and WV had something to prove, and Oklahoma-- a team that is disappointed when it doesn't compete for championships -- had little motivation for just a BCS game. The same thing happened to Alabama when they were slaughtered by Utah in the sugar bowl.

Yeah, Texas just accidentally won 10 games a year for 10+ straight seasons and won a national title.

And yes, recruiting, hiring good coordinators, and overall management count as good coaching.
