trading chandler away for expiring contracts is one thing, trading the face of the franchise for expiring contracts would mean the end of the hornets in NOLA
ETA: and while I am thinking about it, you better get a lot more than that for one of the top 4 players in the entire league

agreed especially looking at what the mavs would be sending back. That would be one of the worst trades of all time.
I could see Chandler going to the Mavs to get back two expiring contracts - we already saw that deal with OKC
Kidd is coming off their books this year so whatever happens Dallas will be a MAJOR FA player this offseason
ETA: and I just looked it up, CP3 has 3 more years left at only $4mm per, so you don't even think about his max deal extension for another year at least
