you could always root for the Astros brother down the street. BTW that last game was sick. 5 fricking homeruns and we could only manufacture 6 runs. I was at least happy to see the bats wake up a bit.

we need to trade for pitching if we are going to have any chance, with an average pitcher we win that game

there is zero chance of this happening, absolutely ridiculous to even see some people in here speculating about it. it is funny to see el tigre call lester earl ridiculous all the time yet he's acting like this crap has some merit.

No one to trade cause our farm is shite. Moehler just had a shite game. He had an awesome spring and if he can do anything close to what he did last year we will be ok. Sucks that we don't have the pieces for a Peavy deal cause he would aprove an astros trade over all others it were possible

we keep trading it away, also getting rid of garner was stupid imo. I think cooper is a good manager but i would still rather garner. Im starting to gain some hope especially with the signing of pudge

biggest problem is they never signed their draft picks in the early to mid 2000's. The guys we had who we traded away were shite because they were all late rounders who wouldn't cost D a bunch of money. Astros haven't had any serious trade bait until this year and Castro is going nowhere.

+.5. We can speculate, but for those of you who think the Hornets get rid of CP3 are retarded. He is a beast, the fans love him more than anything, he loves us (I think and hope), and doing that is asking for a shitty future. I wouldn't be suprised if someone else got traded, but there is not way we ever let CP3 go unless he asks to go.

Maybe Cuban will go to prison before them for shady stock trading like Martha Stewart before then.

This entire scenario is working off of the absolutely baseless claim that the franchise is in some sort of legitimate financial hole.

They are in a hole. They basically are not capable of improving the team outside of the draft. Peja, Posey, and Peterson have unbelievably horrible contracts. David West is an all star and in his prime. The way the contracts are we probably can't improve the team until he is on the downside of his game.

We have Tyson who is a guy that can guard the elite centers, but has no type of offensive game and doesn't grab a lot of rebounds. He makes a ton of money.

Peja is streaky and plays no defense. He is the highest paid played on the team.

We are screwed until 2011/12 unless we make some changes.

they're in a salary cap hole, off the court they're making the biggest profit since the peak of the Charlotte era. around 17k in attendance nightly, waiting list for suites, most sponsors in franchise history, and a 97% ST renewal rate. they took the nba loan, but then again, about half of the league is.

the worst scenario for the hornets dealing to free up space would be a DX trade, they'll never trade Paul.
