Just watching that, the recruiting isn't all that much different from 2014. A few more details and the transfer portal but still pretty similar.

I really don't think anyone really gives a shite about this game other than 40 yr old dudes who played NCAA '05 in their dorms.

I’m 39 and played NCAA ‘04 in my dorm, so you are wrong about at least one person.

They skimmed over a lot of the nitty gritty in the short video. There’s an 80 page detailed breakdown as well.

It’s not a “few more details” it’s a massive amount of detail compared to 2014.

I’m incredibly happy they brought back pitch based recruiting. I hated the point system of 14, overall I’m happy to have a college football game back

I guess I mean a few more major details. But the format isn't all that different. Needing to focus on what's important to the recruit, swaying them, narrowing down visits, etc.

Either way, I'm ready for it. Just need to buy a PS5 now, haven't played a video game in probably 2 years outside of buying an xbox 360 just to play NCAA 14 on.

Right there with you, last few months I thought I was good with my Xbox one x but apparently that’s not good enough so I gotta buy a whole system for this

This system is reminiscent of the pre-14 recruiting, which required quite a bit of strategy to be successful, even if you were a winning program. Dynasty modes and franchise modes should be having this level of depth. I love 2014/revamped, but the recruiting is insanely easy. You just need to recruit 10-12 high rated guys at a time and max out points for them. By the end of the season half your scholarships are taken by 4-5 stars and most times you fill your needs. Offseason recruiting was almost pointless.

Glad to see it is pitch based. It felt like in 14 they did some good things for recruiting like getting locked out, but working your way back in was too OP. to go from locked out to first was weird.

I used to like the football head that you could see be happy during a phone call, or upset.

I distinctly remember that. It was in the 08 edition.

Yeah you could unlock a player who had you as like 6th on his list and thousands of points behind and then would suddenly be in the lead for them. But then everyone else if you get more than like 200 points behind you have pretty much no shot of moving up. So you basically had to just cut bait instantly and then go scout and add different players

Id go like 10 years locking down the top recruiting class and going all in and dominate, then the next 10 years id barely try in recruiting outside of like QBs and WRs and then end up having to win every game in 3 OTs

Hope there’s a bit more of a slower building development, instead of all the 4 star and up players coming in as 79 plus rated already. Ideally they have low overalls outside of the blue chippers and real hidden gems, and then the development happens over the course of their career based on PT/stats

Saw where through out the year you can see what players are leaning towards transfer and they have demands or requirments. Example more play time and if you dont give them it theyll transfer end year

14 had something similar except they didn’t tell you who was leaving to transfer until the season was over. They had the whole promises thing too. I guess transfers will also be more frequent in this one and of course they don’t have to sit out the year

I already loved blaming the QBs on my interceptions, going to be throwing down my visor in the living room when my QB who threatened to leave earlier in the week throws his 3rd pick of the quarter and putting in my 5 star frosh

“Good luck transferring to Jacksonville state a-hole!”

But some true freshmen are absolutely gonna come in and dominate CFB… happens every year

For sure, but it’s pretty rare and the numbers should reflect that. In NCAA14, nearly every 4 star and above was already an above average to elite player on day 1.
