Brees said he wouldn’t kneel for the national anthem and he never did.

Thank you. So what if he knelt in solidarity with his teammates at a different moment; his stance is to stand for the Anthem with his hand on his heart which he has done every single time.

Brady came back 28-3 in the SB at 39 the year Brees hit the wall lol no argument at all. He also won another 2 or 3 SBs in his 40s

No other QB has won a SB in their 40's have they? Idk

Who else done that name 1 please on god

Funny did I mention 7 SBs to 1

He also said white people are the problem and wore the name of a man that beat up and sexually assaulted a woman on his helmet..... in solidarity with his teammates of course.

You might be right with it being so hard to compare eras.

1990-present feels like a consistent enough era although the game has become more QB-friendly with every passing year (pun intended)

Drew Brees = piece of human shite

Obvious overstatement is obvious but

Where I began disliking Brees goes way back to the book he wrote after the Super Bowl. It foreshadowed his Virtue Signaling before the phrase Virtue Signaling existed. It was was a over the top cringe worthy page after page and came off to me as if he was a bit fake. He may really be like that but that book always jaded me after reading it.

That’s a cool stat but in reality when you are down in the 4th quarter and have one more drive to win it I want Tom Brady to have the ball every single time

But why? Brees is better in these situations. Objectively speaking

Now once you take the lead you for sure want Brady’s defense

Imagine this with runners. You get your choice of who you want to represent you in a race

Runner A runs a 9.98 100m

Runner B runs a 10.06 100m

You chose Runner B because he has been part of more 100m relay team wins

You want to go through those games, brees’ stats, and the defensive performance in those games?

And then there is that playoff success. Or lack thereof. Finally, Tom Brady has as many Superbowl wins in Tampa as Brees in New Orleans.

Defense- 415 yards, 1 TO, 41 points

2013: Brees - 24/43 309 yds 1 TD 0 INT 1 fumble; 1 teammate FL
Defense - 277 yards, 0 TO, 24 points

2020: 19/34 134 yards 1 TD 3 INTs; 1 teammate FL

Can we just all agree Dan Marino is the God of Passing?

What a catch? What a throw!

Let's see the cuck do that.

If brees played with a competent defense for only half of his career in NOLA, he’d have almost as many rings as Brady did

But y’all aren’t gonna want to hear that because this is the MSB and he played for the Saints

We've done this thread a bunch. The argument has essentially been that Brees, Manning, Brady, and Rodgers are pretty much the same, but the difference in winning is Brady's defenses. That's fair. But, it looked a couple of years ago like Brees was going to motor along for another 3-5 years and Brady was done. That went the other way and is what really hurts Brees IMO.

This is also very true FWIW

How would having "almost" as many rings as Brady qualify for GOAT status?

Gotta put this thread in the crapola bin where it belongs.

So if one qb has, say, 4 rings is he automatically better than a qb who has three rings?
