Brees never took a dumbass intentional grounding penalty from his own endzone which lead to 9 pts for the other team in a Super Bowl they lost by 4.

Thanks for proving my point. When you base a wholistic comparison on a singular selective stat you lose sight of everything else. By your logic it’s better to be losing late in a game than to be winning even if it means you lose more often.

He isn’t top 10 and notice how all the box score fans who don’t know anything about football don’t even bring up the era he played in. Guys like Elway, Marino, Starr, Kelly, Unitas and others were all better QBs than Brees but to the XBox nerds they don’t even make the cut. That’s what happens when ignorant people make arguments like this.

Yes, most players who are GOAT status never win MVPs in their respective sports because the media doesn’t like to hype them up.
I can’t think of a single player in any sport that would be even arguable to call the GOAT, without an individual award naming said player the best in that particular season. No one outside of New Orleans has ever said “Brees is the best player in football right now” and Saints fans want to put him in GOAT territory

Any Manning won MVP.
Drew won the SB
