Wow, I don’t think they’ve ever had that many vanned off any of the Louisiana tracks in a single day.

And that doesn't even take into consideration rodeos, which is the cruelest of all (besides maybe bullfighting).

All I can add to this conversation is that PBR bulls are treated like freaking royalty compared to food cattle. They are worth a shitload and are treated as such.

Something is off. I wouldn’t be surprised if Dr Fauci administered Covid vaccines to all newborn horses 3-4 years ago.

Ahh rodeo, PBR in particular treats the animals very well.
I wouldn’t consider tying their balls together as treating them well.

Look I hate how they’ve bred these animals to be so fragile so they can run a couple of seconds faste
Gene pool is also much tighter than 50-75 and 100 years ago.

Makes cockfighting a lot less cruel doesn't it? I miss the old cockfighting days in Archibald.

No but we don't know.

If a horse is lame they are vanned off that doesn't mean they are killed. It means the probably had an injury and they don't want the horse walking all the way back to the barns with an injury. Kind of like if a football player breaks a leg they cart him off. Same thing here.

Now if the horse has an injury that is not repairable and is suffering then they will put the horse down. But we don't the injuries suffered by the 7 horses.

At Churchill downs today. To those who don't know, that's horses who broke down, or were injured during or after a race. Ain't looking good

I think Race 1 or 2 there was a horse in the chart that was scratched in the pre check as being unsound.

So lots of horses yesterday had injuries or that were unsound at Churchill

If you go out to the farm where the stock is kept, you’ll see that they aren’t abused. Rodeo bulls are calm in the pasture, some will let you pet them, but flip a switch once they get in the chute. No way to prove it, but I dare say that the bull enjoys the rodeo&lifestyle afterwards more than anyone, and definitely experiences the least amount of pain.

Horses will get injured in horse racing. Just like humans will in human sports. Some people will die just like some horses will die.

The issue right now is there is a HISA vet that is scratching horses due to high odds. Basically handicapping the races. Hartman had one yesterday that was sound, yet he scratched him.

Yeah, tie your nuts together and see if that "flips a switch."

That’s not what happens. More like someone pinching your belly, then running away after you show your arse. Can’t tell me the bull isn’t having fun out there

There's always a cocky attitude vet somewhere. Not saying he/she is at Churchill but there is always one that will scratch a horse when it probably could run
