In the history of college football for sure maybe all sports. As bad as this was…5 downs is bad also

5th down you could at least argue incompetence. This was corruption and nothing short of the Big 10 changing the outcome will suffice.

There’s a handful of others, one ironically involving Michigan

In 2001, Michigan state was gifted two extra seconds and beat Michigan. Google “spartan bob controversy”

Wasn't that Colorado that got 5 downs?

Yep and what made the 5th down against Mizzou worse is they didn't even score on the 5th down.

Even though this is blurry it's the last drive of the game.

My CFB text group was going over this and we brought that up, Okie state, and Saints/Rams, and Oregon/OU onside.

OU Oregon frick job is as bad. Ref crew ended up all fired and we got apology letter but we didn’t get the win back.

2006 OU @ Oregon onside kick recovery. They had replay review by then and still got the call wrong.

LSU beat Ole Miss in Tiger Stadium because they ran a pass play that only took 1 second off of 2 seconds left in game and Bert Jones beat them on the next play.

LSU fans posted signs at the Louisiana border with Mississippi saying entering Louisiana all Ole Miss fans should set their clocks back 1 second.

Especially when one of the announcers said we got screwed. That announcer was Dan Fouts who happened to play college football at Oregon.

its hilarious because the dumb announcers kept talking about if the ball got touched at 10 yards and not about the fact that OU recovered the ball to begin with

the committee should ignore the "official result" and move along as if it is what it actually was and presume they lost

I still think the most egregious thing I’ve ever seen although the ump apologized was the guy who blew the perfect game for the Detroit Tigers pitcher years ago.

I mean worst call I’ve ever seen and took this man out of the books.

Also, saints rams call was worse.

That one still blows my mind to this day.

1) The ball was obviously touched before it went 10 yards

2) They awarded the ball to Oregon despite the fact that an Oklahoma player was walking around with the football after it squirted out of the dogpile.

The OU game at Oregon is pretty close as well.
Can't remember the year off hand.

This site is hilarious. The MAC and ESPN reviewed the tape and conversation during replay.
