Notre Dame 71,UCLA 70 #2 Notre Dame came back from trailing 70-59 to score the game's final 12 points to down UCLA 71-70. The streak started in the 1970-1971 season after UCLA had lost to ...........Notre Dame, 89-82.

Dick Enberg and "Hot Rod" Huntley were all the call. The "After 88.." reference was to the Sports Illustrated article. Digger Phelps was mad that this was the Swimsuit issue and the game wasn't on the cover.

Pathetic Domer basketball fans seem to think that ending an opponent’s 88-game winning streak as their greatest achievement. Notre Dame has zero NC in men’s basketball. UCLA has 11. South Bend still sucks and the females at Notre Dame are still ugly.

A streak that will not be broken in men’s hoops.

A Washington fan cucking for UCLA. How fitting, do you also say thank you to Gonzaga for using corruption to sabotage your basketball program?

I went to Catholic School for 8 years and our school was always hyping Notre Dame. I love the university and their academics, but can’t stand their condescending, smug “We’re better than you” fans.

I can remember watching this game live, I quit watching because ND was down 10 late, came back just in time to see the upset!

I don’t think these exist. Even when Brey had good teams, their support was always lacking. I’ve never known them to have a strong support for basketball, which is odd given that they’re in Indiana (see IU, Purdue, Butler, Indiana State, Valpo, etc.) That’s undoubtedly a football school.

As opposed to the 60s and 70s? Cool story bro. Kentucky had it before you and we'll have it long after your dead. Go Big Blue

Big difference...and you know why.

And after I found out it was a home streak only....even less impressed.

Damn, those last couple of possessions UCLA couldn't buy a made shot. They had multiple opportunities.
