AD running behind that line would be INSANE

AP is still the best RB in the world, and probably by a wide margin.
This would give Dallas' offense a top 7-8 QB
Best RB
Best o line
Top 3 WR
and Witten
How does Dallas not make this happen? With Sean Lee back on defense, along with Claiborne maybe taking a step forward, Demarcus Lawrence 2nd yr....they just need one solid defensive signing and they are NFC favs imo

Peterson just had a year off while Murray just had 400+ carries. That matters. Peterson is an all time great talent while Murray is a very good talent. Peterson is the answer.

Yeah, I think he has much pent up anger and will whip up on the competition.

AD.
Murray's basically had one good year.

And a contract year at that. May disappear after getting paid.

I cant believe some of you are even comparing talent levels between the two. Peterson is a once in a generation talent. Murray is a solid back but nothing close to Peterson. With Romo, the Cowboys maybe have a 2-3 year window to win it all if they resign Dez Bryant and keep the O-Line together. All that being said, I would sign neither and invest that saved money into the defense. The only way they are winning anything at all is if they get substantially better on defense. There O-line is elite enough that just league average talent would be a serviceable back and rush for 1200-1500 yards.

I'l ltake the known commmodity in AP over the injury risk in DM. Murray has played one full season in 6 years? AP is a hall of fame RB with maybe 3-4 good years left. With that line and the WR's they have...AP gets 2000 yards without a doubt I think.

As a Cowboys fan, Peterson in a heartbeat. Murray has had litany of dings over the years that have kept him out of games or limited his usefulness. I'm very grateful for what he did last season but almost 400 carries on an oft-inured back is bad news.
Peterson on the other hand is a genetic freak whose just had a year off & would love nothing more than to shutup all the talking heads by putting up great stats.

Peterson is far from a normal human being. Even 2 years older than Murray, I'd take him. He's nicked up like most players, but still plays with a major ferocity that not many RBs have and doesn't miss many games.
Murray's only year playing every game after 4 years in the league. Its like Ryan Mathews having that one GREAT year without injury, rare and not likely to happen again.
