Christmas week. Kids arent on campus, TV prefers NFL and NBA games that week. The long calender is the reason for the sudden loud calls for the elimination of conference championship games. That week would be week 1 of the playoffs.

Has the absolute worst schedule in all of major sports postseason.
Two week gaps between each round. There's absolutely no feel for the entire tournament just feels like a series of disjointed games

Finals and holidays...Not the craziest reasons considering they're trying to keep the illusion of being about higher learning.
