Yes, happy for him. I’m hoping Bowman gets around Logano.

Brake rotors. Nascar has too many regs and a lot of teams paid.
Lots of wrecks. Bubba twice caused one. So many others. Drivers know the only good time to pass is restarts.
HMS did good. Chase was in position to get top 5 or more until his rotor bit the dust.
Bristol next, lots of paybacks are due too.

The 15 extra points for a win is huge and as big of a change as going back to the Chase to begin with. I love that you can make up real ground winning races. They've really found the sweet spot between boring points racing and the nonsense we used to have with the previous format.

I’d prefer full season and a bigger spread toward the front. I get one point per position outside of top ten. But I think points per position should increase incrementally towards the front. Take the win bonus. Second should be roughly 12-15 points above 3rd and so on. 10th should be 3 points above 11th.
That being said. Chase is light years better than the playoff bullshite.

I’d like the point for leading a lap and a point for leading the most laps like we used to have. It would give guys more incentive of racing to the front at super speedways, and it could alter pit strategy with some guys staying out or only getting two tires in hopes of leading a lap.

I’d like to see pole position count for a point, but only if qualifying is actually attempted.
I wish stage points became halfway points. Just give points to the top ten at halfway.
And I’d have a “perfect race” bonus: fastest lap, most laps led, pole winner, and leader at halfway.
I think 3 stages are just dumb. If a race isn’t official until near halfway, why award points if it’s not near halfway?

Also, at reset they need to make more spread to reward good drivers all season. I said it then but 100pts to 16th is nothing in 10 races. This closer format allows someone like Logano to steal another cheap arse title.
The racing was fine but the restarts are a mess. Bubba went low twice and pushed the car out of groove. That made it 3-4 wide and then he bitched at drivers during restarts lol. He chose to make it 3-4 wide which didn’t allow car next to him to move up because they had a car there.
When 35 spun right after 45 had issues my spidey senses went up.
