I saw a game where a team mate dropped someone for doing something similar.
Well, thats one way to put a quick stop to it, hopefully he got a free snocone or something and not a schools uspension.

Nugent who threw a shutout at Jesuit Thursday, could pitch for Rummel

I seriously doubt they'd bring him back just before playoffs start. You may get the big sophomore, Schexnaildre, or Stuprich.

We play nationally ranked (#1 in MS) Magnolia Heights today. Should be interesting...

Oakdale is a decent team, so a Pineville win is not guaranteed.

Yeah, I agree... And on top of Oakdale being a good team, I understand that Pineville has 3 starters out tonight, 2 possibly lost for the rest of the season any playoffs. (Caveat: I don't have any direct connection to the Team, just what I am hearing.)

Rummel has a first round bye. No reason to sit your Ace two weeks. Needs to stay on the same or similar schedule. That said, he still may not be the guy. Might be a little Johnny Wholestaff and then use Nugent in a scrimmage later this week.

Also no reason to throw him again an a Monday after he threw a complete game on Thursday and you have another game on Saturday.

His team will have a bye this weekend for playoffs. If his team has a game Saturday, it is a scrimmage.

They play Lakeshore on Saturday. Again, I don't see a way they will throw a kid again on a Monday against Chalmette after a complete game on Thursday when he could throw a bullpen, sim, or intersquad later in the week or in the game/scrimmage this weekend. But, maybe I've lost touch. The fact that they have a bye doesn't seem relevant. He just pitched on Thursday and will have ample opportunity to pitch again before the playoffs start. Teams have more than 2 capable starters, as I understand. You don't blow your ace out against Chalmette before the playoffs start.

Well they’re throwing him

Maybe they’re trying to get #4 for a home quarterfinal

We trail Northwood by 0.9 and I think that’s too big to make up, but who cares, the stands are full, this is our championship tonight

It’s a volunteer effort for most. I wouldn’t expect the utmost professionalism in HS
When I have been a volunteer coach, I scouted, analyzed and prepped more so than when I was paid.

What a bad take.
Owen Nugent on the mound right now against Chalmette.

I still wouldn't have thrown him, but what do I know. BM, for example, is just piecing it together against Stanislaus tonight. Amedee threw 29 pitches. Tingstrom is in now. To each their own.

Westlake Gets a HUGE win over #1 Catholic BR tonight 7-3. Currently 32.75 power rating, for #3 seed ... South Beau at 32.73.

Still watching 2 results St Ed's vs Lafayette Christian and Notre Dame vs Vermilion Catholic.
Dont know how much loses for St Eds or VC would effect Westlake but very very thin margin

Northwood SH beats Montgomery 10-0 and 15-0… they can have their round 1 beat down and waste $4 gas

How does Chalmette's lower classes look? The Catholic League schools are mostly still bringing in good classes. HC started an 8th grader and BM started a 9th grader on varsity this year. I know Curtis and Jesuit also had some younger kids get time, and others knocking on the door. Not completely sure about Rummel but they usually have good, young talent too.

CCA finishes 28-6. 3 losses to Barbe, 1 to Catholic BR, 1 to Destrehan and 1 to Gonzaga Prep from Washington DC.

Looks like the 2 seed for us.

The best athletes in St Bernard will be playing in the Catholic League next year.

But they won’t be playing for Chalmette.

That’s the challenge,
