I put $5 on Isaac to finish on the podium at +1600.

The tires seem better this year? They are using the softest C5 tires, and they are getting multiple hot laps out of them. Russell's fast lap was lap 7 on his tires. Piastri's fast lap was lap 9 on his tires.
Maybe the tires are lasting longer now because they are pussyfooting around parts the track with the lift-and-coast before brake zones, and the super clipping reducing the speed just before the high-speed turns 9 and 10.

Interesting, Haas unexpectedly behind both VCARB and Audi.
Lindblad is doing awesome.

Bortoleto was a bit of an arse not moving over earlier. Lindblad almost wiped out himself and his teammate.

I am not sure I can handle the talking heads sucking off Merc all season.

Horner won't be around to keep Toto in check. Toto is already smiling and winking at the cameras.

Well, there they go fricking shite up. They’ll have some competition I think.

We are gonna have merc 1 2 aren't we

Mercedes have built another monster. Very interested in the race start tomorrow with Ferrari’s speed off the line. Leclerc could jump a few on the start.

Kimi looks like he has fight in him right now so even if Merc starts running away hopefully we get a teammate battle.

Sheesh. Tell me Red Bull hasn't practiced post quali/race interviews with Hadjar without telling me...

In their defense, when was the last time a Red Bull second seat driver qualified in third?

Hell I’m just waiting for the Max post race interview as soon as possible after that event…before PR intervenes. Will be unhinged gloriousness.
Speaking of, why does the F1 app not have an obnoxious alarm for F1 events? You’d think that’s important considering the time differences.
Edit: we used to have these annoying but important alerts pre apple.

Welp, that def wasn't the chaos I was expecting...
WTF happened to Max's car? The back end just locked up as he downshifted into the turn.

Interesting to see what the attrition will be tonight. Over under on how many cars finish.
I say 14.

I’m taking over 14 but not by much.
"There’s nothing that you can do
You can only make it slower, and then, of course, you get a bit more of a normal speed trace, but it’s a slower speed trace.
The formula is just not correct, and that is something that is a bit harder to change. But I think we need to.”
After one flying lap, Max Verstappen already has as many Q1 eliminations in this era of regulations (1) as he did over the entire ground-effect era (1).

We will see how today's race goes, but if they can't figure this shite out quickly, this season will need a huge asterisk.
I know F1 tweaks and tunes on a regular basis, but after the porposing issues a couple had due to ride heights, the last gen car was great and wish they would have continued on with very minor tweaks.
