Not sure if it’s been mentioned but 24 years ago today we lost Dale Earnhardt.

If anyone is interested in the behind the scenes of Cleetus McFarland’s first ARCA race last Saturday, here ya go:

Stage breaks at the pack racing tracks ruin the flow. Green flag pit stops on those tracks really play in to the strategy. I don’t think they had one Sunday. I think it’s dumbed down just to have “side by side” racing all the time.
NASCAR is so worried about getting highlights (end of stages, end of race) that they make the product as a whole worse.

I have no use for Hamlin but he spoke gospel truth on his podcast.
A.J. Foyt has also said like Hamlin that the cars are too pinned to the track aerodynamically.

That flat bottom definitely contributed to that car taking off. NASCAR needs to do some thinking about that.

I’m not a Denny fan but I agree with him. He was spot on in his opinion of how these races end. It’s mostly luck now on which driver avoids the last lap wreck.

Like Denny or not he usually speaks truth and he did on this.

Reducing HP only bunched them up more! Its why we have the problem!!
Make tires less good and skinnier. Make it so cars have to slow down in corners which means they are not bunched up. Reduce downforce.
Plates have cost this sport so much over time.

The DJT worship is beyond bizarre.

Plate racing events are only a small percentage of the races. I think it makes things interesting and unpredictable. I think stages should be done away with on superspeedways and this will stretch the field out between cautions.
Or just remove the caution laps between the stages.
Sorry but I love watching these races.
