You mean the one where it came a downpour in turns 1 & 2 and they had to stop and dry that portion of the track?

I guess I shouldn't have used "weak". I meant from the standpoint that it just happened at the end of last week's race, and might decide the outcome. Not that it didn't actually rain.

Meanwhile, Ty Gibbs technically won something finally.

He earned it.

I’ll buy that he has turned the corner when he doesn’t come unglued the next time he gets tapped.

23 deserved the W. Had a winning car all weekend.

But Indy is going to have to get their act together on attendance if they want to claim this is a major/crown jewel though. Can’t call yourself a top 4 race when the stands are empty.

He absolutely earned it.

Popular win amongst his competitors, especially Blaney and Elliott, his two best friends.

I mean, you could put a full capacity crowd at Daytona into IMS, and IMS would still look empty because it's so enormous.

NASCAR isn't going to pack that place like it did 20-30 yrs ago. I don't know what their target attendance is, but if today was over 70k like last year, they'll probably be happy.

Cooking ribs on the smoker. Had the race on in the background. Went back outside to sauce them and Bubba is doing an extended interview on TNT. Channeled his inner Rick Flair;

"To be the best you have to beat the best. And right now Kyle Larson is the best. To win this race beating him is something special."

Big win for Bubba.

He now has as many wins as Dale Earnhardt at the Brickyard
