If tweet fails to load, click here. Also, look at how far those spoilers were laid down at Daytona back in the day.

Legge is not a terrible driver. She’s just not very good in a stock car. She needs to be in every ARCA race she can get in. You can’t learn how to drive in NASCAR like you used to. Little to no testing and 20 minute practice on a track you have never seen? If she keeps it out of the wall she actually visibly improves during a race.
She will never win but she could be a respectable mid pack runner with the sponsorship she has.
Contrary to most opinions, Bubba is a shoe. He just is a head case.

DW said that you could tell who was young and hungry, and who was married with children, by the spoiler angle.

Few years ago I heard an interview with A.J. Foyt, comparing NASCAR in the days when he was a serious contender driving for the Woods, and the cars had little tiny spoilers, to NASCAR today. Tex said, “Hell they’ve got those sonsabitches pinned so hard to the ground that there ought to be no way anybody loses it.”

In all fairness, AJ could drive the hell out of anything.
Bobby Unser (who was no small admirer of Bobby Unser) said "You cannot believe what that man could do with a race car".

Uncle Bobby told this story. He and Foyt were racing for the lead in stock cars at Michigan, a USAC race. Uncle Bobby was leading but Foyt got inside of him and had the line and was certain to make the pass. Only Uncle Bobby got loose and was about to spin out.
You would think Foyt would have gone on by him, but he didn’t. He tapped Uncle Bobby’s car and got him straight.
And here’s the craziest thing. On the next lap, Uncle Bobby waved Foyt past him into the lead. He said that Foyt had the line and had him beat in the earlier situation but sacrificed it to help him, and letting him go by was the fair and right thing to do.
After that it was every man for himself and Foyt wound up winning by an eyelash.
Can you imagine anyone in present day NASCAR doing that?

I read the exact same story.

Those guys were giants. Damn giants. Even the best drivers today, how many of them are giants?

Austin Hill loses all of his playoff points for the regular season, both present and future. He will start the playoffs with zero. This is the first time this has happened with NASCAR's new rule created in the preseason.

Love how they continue to try and shine the turd while reporting bad news. Lost 31% YOY. Looks like those Prime youngsters tuned out and those boycotting Prime never came back.
Brickyard 400 averaged 2.5 million viewers this year on TNT and TruTV (combined). Most for any NASCAR race since the Coke 600 in May, but way down from 3.6 million last year on NBC.

What do you think about Bubba winning?

Didn’t watch. But hate seeing a race baiter get leftist press time. Ever since Prime I’m not as glued in as before. Watch XFinity its much more racing and fun. Cup is like watching WNBA.
So much more action in Xfjnity and way less DEI and pimping race. Its just great racing in comparison.
I bet you had a jizz-a-thon though
Nascar Cup has broken me of my decades long fandom. Amazing how refreshing it is to be rid of the chains
