I'm not sure i understand the complaints about the strategy. Villeneuve kept saying they should have left pastry out but he said his tires were going off and ANT ran long and still finished behind Osama who Villeneuve claimed pitted too early.

100%, that was one of the most boring races in recent memory.

I'm glad I went back to sleep around lap 35.

The thought was they should’ve kept Lando out longer, instead of pitting him same as Max, that way he’d have had fresher tires at the end and hopefully make a move giving McLaren a 1/3 or maybe even a 1/2. Instead they did nothing and Max had plenty of pace to hold them both off and they end up with a 2/3.

Thanks for the warning.
Spoiled myself accidentally, anyways.

In suzuka he is hard to beat but it took a superhuman effort this year. I have a feeling the RB will wilt in the heat of Bahrain and Jeddah starting next week.

Lando needs to grow up.
He’s very impatient, particularly when it comes to Max. He jumps at the first sign of opportunity, even a terrible one, because he thinks it will be the only one.

Should have just slotted in right behind and let the race come to him.

Man that race sucked

So basically if Lando can out-qualify Oscar, they won't expect them to switch spots, even if Oscar is crawling all over Lando's arse?

I turned it off and went to sleep as soon as the checkered flag came out.

My last thought before hitting dreamland was “that race could have been an email”

Just watched the race, not a lot happening

Max just showed why is he is a world champion again

Lando made that stupid move on max in the pit lane then tried to complain to get Max a penalty

Has Albon always been this annoying on radio calls and we are only now getting them because Williams are in the points?

Yuki didn’t do terrible for his first race in the Redbull but clearly his setup was different from the one Max deployed

Edit: Liked the commentary team this weekend as well, wasn’t full of Brit’s sucking off their drivers and teams. Nice to have someone call out WTF is McLaren doing as soon as they pitted Norris

I never check the internet before watching the race, but I should have checked this morning. Would have saved me an hour.

I had to watch the whole thing to see if Max could hold on. Lando didn’t have much to say about the pit lane incident, someone must have told him he’s not going to like the video.

That was an all time weekend from max. No one close to his level right now.

Lots of comments about boring race. This race always features little passing. But I like to watch strategy unfold. And the orange cars blew that.

Piastri was the better car. And they never swapped to see if he could pressure Max. Also enjoyed watching Max not have a bad corner to allow a cheap pass. Orange team likely thought over time Max would wear out tires or make a mistake, but that was foolish. Max is one of the best drivers ever in F1.

They at least should have let Piastri have a crack at him of nothing else to wear his tires out more. And their pit strategy was bad. Should have left Lando out one more lap before pitting and in clean air seen how much he can make up without Max in front. Then with faster pit stop might have beat him.

Bearman was another driver who maxed out his car. He was actually pressuring 9th most of the race and had a better pace except at end. I am really impressed with him.

And of course they are going to give driver of race to home town hero. He passed 2 cars.

Was glad it rained earlier so no reds for grass fires.

Orange cars are still better than RB. But Max is the best driver. And on a course with little passing Max was able to stay in front he never pit a wheel off the whole race. In other tracks the orange cars will be in front speed wise but can the team overcome bad planning? Or let Piastri win when he has best car?
