Any chance Max can stay out front with the better straight line speed?

You never know, but I would be shocked if he did.

How is that calculated?

All the best mini-sectors from the session combined into one lap. Basically Max ran the absolute best lap he could have.

The smaller the delta, the closer you are to your absolute best in each sector

That is the coolest shite ever.
You have to imagine the engineers and drivers would eat that shite up to see exactly when and where the other car is faster.

Ok, so basically the drivers with the biggest gap have the most room for realistic improvement.

Yes. Luigi had the poorest lap compared to his ideal lap of those in Q3.

Very smooth. George looked smooth too. Just not as fast.

The biggest gaps represent blown sectors. Max matched his best sectors from the whole session into one single lap. His best lap possible. Landos first sector and pastry's 2nd and 3rd would have beaten him but they each messed up at least one and he didn't

I'm debating whether to stay up another couple hours to watch. A chance of rain has me doubting I'll make it.

Yuki and Carlos are being held up a bit. That's what happens when you qualify behind where your car should be.
