I think not.

The Sprint race doesn’t count in this?

I’m not sure how Ferrari turned a winning car late last year into that turd they raced this year but I don’t think it had too much to do with LH.

Yeah, I'm just busting his balls. Just thought it was funny because he's #44.

Non-F1 related - a new 24LM documentary dropped today. I'm always in awe of hypercars/prototypes. They're such amazing machines to do what they do for 24 hours.

Ha. Yep, me too.

Rest response was to the rest of the haters.

Speaking of Haters, how did Albon beat Sainz in the standings??

Sainz had a spectacular run of bad luck the first half of the season.

As I feel this was possibly directed to me

Closing 54pts in the final 8 races.

Seems it just took Sainz longer to have the car come to him.

TouchedTheAxeIn82, thanks for runningbthe challenge. Your results post was a must see for me after each race. I'll kick in some $ for next year.

Same. Good, good fun.

Both of their seasons were like a tale of two stories.

Early in the year Albon was cruising, qualifying better, racing better, didn't really have any bad breaks. Carlos was struggling in the car, then finally looked comfortable but couldn't get any breaks. Second half of the season Carlos looked super comfortable, was flying around the track and finally avoiding the bad breaks and Albon was the complete opposite. They could have had a really nice year if they both put a whole season together.

How do you think Apple is going to handle the coverage of F1? Will it be better than ESPN? Or worse

pretty sure I read they are using the F1TV broadcast for the first year.

Then allegedly using their own crew in year 2.

Disappointing to hear they are already planning to use their own people in the near future. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.

They are integrating the F1 app into the AppleTV is my understanding. Not sure what features will not be available via the Apple app but F1TV app will still exist.

It may end up being a pretty slick integration despite it being another streaming service.

FIA increasing the Indy Car superlicense points system

quote:

Super Licences

The number of points allocated to the IndyCar Series has been increased for positions from 3rd – 9th to reflect the growing significance of the category as follows:

For reference Herta has about 35pts after his recent F1 tests. Under the new system he would have the required 40pts (~46) to race next year.

That would be a good NASCAR points system.

You can’t do better than espn. They covered every practice. And were commercial free for every race.

So with Apple getting f1 is it just going to be on Apple TV? Or would I have to pay an extra cost like they do with mls?

And FYI, I don't know if they still are, but they were running 5.99/mo for 6 months around Black Friday...

I grabbed so I could rewatch Severance and will at least get to see the first 2 months of F1 on there, but after that, I'm not continuing to pay another $13 for yet another streaming service.

F1TV was $85 for me last year. AppleTV will cost me $114 for this next year. I'm not exactly excited to pay more, but I guess it is what it is. At least AppleTV has some good shows.

I'll drop AppleTV and sail the high seas if Multivieiwer support gets dropped.

I’ll put up $20 for the next season of Axe’s prediction challenge. Easily was one of the more entertaining aspects of this website for me this year.

Front wing dynamic aero for the new regs looks interesting. Can’t wait to see these new cars next year.
