This is like trying to purchase one of Gilmours guitars at auction a few years ago.

Sounds maybe silly, but I'd take the indycar. It's a known entity and would be easier for a normie like me to drive. The 2026 F1 and LMH are unknown. Plus spare parts would be way easier to come by, and I'd be driving it, not looking at it.

Insane collection of hardware in Monterey right now.

Man the F1 car is as long as a bus.

Here's a video on the restoration of Mansell's 1986 Williams FW11, which won the constructor's championship, the first for Honda.
After the restoration, Karun Chandhok did the initial shakedown runs at an airport. Then at Goodwood, it was driven by Karun, Ricardo Patrese, Thierry Boutsen, and Nigel himself.

After Goodwood, the FW11, as well as numerous other historic F1 cars were shipped off to Monterey for the Motorsport Reunion (formerly the Monterey Historics), which was also celebrating the 75th anniversary of F1.
At Laguna Seca, Takuma Sato got to drive the FW11, and this interview is funny because he seemed positively giddy at the experience. Aside from the roar of the >1,000 hp engine (obviously detuned from the original settings) and the crazy kick of 80's turbo technology, he noted how light and agile the car is. Ah, maybe one day F1 will make the turn back to light, agile, overpowered cars.
Here's to clean, sustainable fuels leading us down the right path.

Seems like the honeymoon might be over.

Typical PlanetF1 headline.
The article is good though, until it spins into telling a story instead of an interview with Fred.

I see so many clickbait articles about F1 like that one that I hardly ever click on anything F1 news related because of them.

If they have opinion articles just don't read.
This they were at least taking quotes, but the quote doesn't hold up with all the rest of the article.
Fred just said the typical coach shite of "Lewis pushes everyone and is the first in and last out; always 110%: makes the team better; rah-rah speech" and PlanetF1 made it into Drive to Survive controversy.
Mid-summer break and all.

Wait until you start searching for youtube commentary videos
I don’t always agree with him, but at least Peter Windsor mostly stays away from sensationalism.

Interesting image I saw on the Indycar subreddit. Lots of money in F1 me thinks.

Yes but don't forget in F1 that the teams have the licensing agreements on merchandise.
Another thing, where does RCR get 17 mil. to pay a driver?

MotoGP is 2x Indycar? Wow.

MotoGP is huge internationally, Riders make bank with sponsorships. Marc Marquez is gonna make way more than 15 mil this year after all his bonuses.

Checo and Bottas will be the Cadillac drivers per ESPN.
I will be hopping in the bandwagon.

I honestly couldn't see any other scenario. It's a great line up for a new team if we're being honest. Both have been around winning organizations and know what it takes.
I wonder if there's any betting on points next year out yet. What would you set the o/u on constructors points for Cadallac?
10? 20?
It's a first year team, but there's a lot of muscle. Rumors are floating around that Horner could be a possibility to head it up.

I assume Checo would be cool with Horner as long as Helmut Marko isn’t around to share his unique theories on driver performance.
