I’d argue nothing that happened last year compares to Horner being fired mid-season.
Naw, the Horney Spice drama drove a lot of conversation.
That being said the bottom sticky has absolutely killed this thread. I'd rather the sticky be removed and let it drop off the front page at this point if that means a post will let it float to the top.
I get what the site admins are trying to do with it, but it's a terrible feature that site users almost universally hate.

The sport’s most well known team principle at the team that has dominated the sport for the last few years getting fired mid-season should have driven a lot of conversation too, but didn’t because

That's some "everybody gets a trophy" shite right there.

Ha, I caught a few minutes of Indy qualifying in Portland maybe yesterday and almost posted here about it. But I checked the Indy car thread and it hasn’t been posted in for a week or so…?
I've never watched an indy race in my life. Probably a dumb question, but is there more passing and more competition at the top or is it very similiar to F1 in that regard? For the most part little passing and seems to be one dominant team most years.

In general there is much more passing and chaos and winners but Palou this year is winning a lot of races. This is a once in 30 year type season from Palou, though, to help put that in perspective. There are more pit stops in Indy than F1 and since it is drivers championship and not a constructors championship, the cars are all very similar which creates all the chaos.

Don’t discount the 14 posts for the Lacrosse league! They are important too.
I've RA'd that post a few times. Nothing against Lacrosse but it's a useless thread. Not sure I've ever seen a stickied thread with 13 total posts. There is no active discussion going on.
Let's get this thread one spot higher

No shite. You don't get to their level without understanding there are winners and losers.

I think they're afraid of Lando having a "mental health crisis" if he loses to the newcomer on the team.

Yeh, even if you feel like you have to have that conversation with the team there is no need to tell the world about it.
I could see Lando pulling a Rosberg and retiring if he wins it this year.

I don’t think he’d retire, but not sure if he has the drive to dominate and try so hard to win another one ever again.
Seems more Button-like than Rosberg if he gets it this year.

More passing, yes.
More competition? Not really. You have it narrowed down to about 10% of the field winning.
The owner of the series also owns a team that has been part of the dominance.
Since 2012 one of two teams have one the championship. 4 different championship winners since 2017; F1 will have 4 different championship winners in basically the same time.

It cost them over half a billion dollars to build everything for Vegas. Since this course was built by F1 and promoted by F1, they'll have to keep it going.

All Indy Cars are the same chassis. I hope that changes one day.

To be fair that's on a Thursday. $650 for the actual GP.

Bring a large checkbook

Ha I’m sure there is a reason the auction is being held in Abu Dhabi, my check book can’t compete with Abu Dhabi checkbooks.
