Probably a futile effort.

I'm guessing the data didn't show what Brown insinuated it may have in real time.

Would have been awesome to see the hypocrisy of the F1 front and center if the data was less braking than in Canada with George/Max when there was no penalty.

They said Oscar used 60 lbs of brake pressure and George used 30lbs

Race notes:

Yeah, Pastry played the game too hard and screwed himself, but did one hell of a job getting in Max's head and creating an environment to over drive the car and spin... Lando is clearly his biggest adversary

It looked like Lewis wasn't happy racing in the wet during the middle portion of the race... Almost like he didn't want to be there in those conditions... once conditions turned better he clearly turned it on, even though the car was snappy AF

So damn happy for Hulk!! If he had a better ride for a lot of his career, he would have many more trophies in F1... May have got a bit emotional watching the scoring and him keeping his distance fom Ham... Super damn cool the way his team celebrated with him after the race!!!! Genuinely happy for the man!

All right, the TD F1 Championship results are in!

dg42.net/TDF1/race-results.php?race=12

The winner of the TD F1 British Grand Prix is bikerack with his first win of the season and second podium!

The podium is filled out by sorantable in P2 for his fourth podium and theone in P3 for his second podium.

Here's the championship table: dg42.net/TDF1/index.php?table=full

sorantable is starting to take a dominant position in the championship with two podiums in a row. He's got a 20 point lead on P2, maybe the biggest gap we've seen to p2 all season.

gatorhater08 is up to P2 with strong P6 race finish.

Championship leader sorantable is the only player with four podiums.

gatorhater08, VABuckeye, pitstop, and ephidelt541 have three podiums each.

BottomlandBrew, theone, and Grassy1 have scored points in eight of the first 12 races. Amazing job!

The season is now halfway over!

You can't add somebody midway through the season can you?

Oscar P. is a fricking moron. I lost a lot of respect when he pulled that move. It was so blatant. There are more subtle ways to catch the rest of the pack off guard and get an advantage on a restart, he should have known better.

He deserved that 10 second penalty. Wanker.

Sorry, I'm not against doing it, but I'm afraid it would break my code. I think the code expects everyone in the game to have been in it from the start. In the championship table you'll see a couple people with "DNS" in the first race or two. I probably added them after the season started and marked them as "DNS" in the data files for the races they missed. But now there are too many data files to update. Sorry.

Just finished watching. Great race. So happy for Hulk who’s my age, probably the only father in the field finally score his first podium. He was asking the good questions in the post race room and there was some good awkward silence watching Oscar’s brake test move.

Lando saying “just don’t frick it up” is funny as hell. Happy he won it and won his home GP.

Super interesting driver’s championship still

Lando waving at the end too soon and the broadcast worrying that he might wreck was great

And it was a prick move by Oscar for sure, but that’s what champions do. It was giving Max a little bit of his own medicine and I don’t think anyone on the grid has had the balls to stand up to Max since Lewis. I welcome this future rivalry. Lando is great and I’m sure this season is going to come down to the wire for the drivers championship, but Lando is a “just happy to be here” kind of guy imo. And I’m a big Lando fan.

Kind of surprised the story of the day wasn’t the 10s penalty but I guess the data and comparison to George Russel’s similar move a few weeks ago showed how justified that penalty was.

Doubt Oscar will make another mistake like that again.

The 10 second penalty would have been a bigger deal if it didn’t directly lead to an English driver winning the English GP.

5 DNFs, all of them rookies showed how much they have to learn

It was even worse when you saw the video from Max's car. Max had no chance. It was beyond stupid by Piastri and I'm a bit embarrassed as a somewhat mclaren fan that Brown went on TV mentioning fighting the ruling during the race.

I know it. I don’t fault them for that too much. Feel like they all have to be politicians and lie about their drivers until everything is finalized to appease them.
